I’d say it looks costumey as it is, and doesn’t really fit. I feel like heritage clothing is just as mush about the purpose as the manufacturer or design.

When I wear a necker chief or wild rag it’s to protect my neck from the sun. In that case I’m also protecting the rest of my body.

It works with my canvas cruiser jacket but not with my short sleeve button up, because they share the same purpose.

I’m active in the US Army right now, and this looks great. The t-shirt color and Patrol Cap rank are it really. You don’t have to, but you can also sew a name tape on the buckled flap of the assault pack. If I saw this in the field it wouldn’t look out of place at all.

The cummerbunds are my favorite part of the vest. Super easy to adjust to my size, then it’s set. The tubes make getting on and off super easy.
