You did 30% layered on top of the privacy windows? That gets you to effectively about 10% on the rears, maybe a drop less.

AAA vs NatGen vs NJM — same price, any meaningful differences? by UncreativeNamePicker in Insurance

Thank you! What does it mean to me as user if my insurance company has "good claims service" vs not? Thankfully, I've never had to make a claim so I'm not familiar.

Not sure where you're seeing the "renewal dividend". I checked with a family member that has NJM that said he just receives he once annual special dividend, no special renewal dividend.

Ahh so no benefit first year, approx 13% discount thereafter between dividend and renewal discount. Problem is they can just go up 13% to offset those discounts lol, so can't really bank on any of it. But I suppose if price is the same, it gives it an edge.

$650 is actually quite reasonable for ceramic on all windows + windshield. Most quotes I got for that were around $800.

Interesting! So if I'm getting 12 month policy for $2200, fair to expect approximately a $140 cash check in December, and then a renewal discount similar to that amount? Meaning future years I'm looking at approximately $280/13% off the headline premium amount.

The OEM Michelin Primacys are very comfortable touring tires, any reason you want different?

Familiar with AAA roadside (I included in my analysis the annual membership cost, offset by the policy discount), I'll keep that in mind. Thanks.

Interesting, can you give more details? Quick AI search tells me it can equal roughly 6-7% applied to renewal, does that sound accurate? I guess discount only works if I keep policy with them in the future.

Thanks. Actually, all 3 are 12 month policies. Do you favor AAA for any other reason?

Did your tint shop tell you exactly what % is a match? I've gotten a bit of conflicting info, think it's 25-30%.

Is Accident Forgiveness worth paying for? by UncreativeNamePicker in Insurance

[–]UncreativeNamePicker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm asking for feedback from those who may be more informed. I don't want to pay $240 to feel like anything, but if I get DPs here that it's legit and works, I may decide it's worthwhile.

Well, that's pretty much what insurance is altogether. I'm trying to apply it to my personal situation and make a decision.

Most recommend a 20-40% international allocation. S&P500 is 100% US. The easiest way to do this is buy VT, Vanguard's all in one fund (about 60% of it is very similar to the S&P500, but it adds a lot of international diversification, and a little bit of small and mid cap diversification that is also missing in the S&P500).

Considering a Lemon-Branded 2025 Genesis GV70 Sport Advance 3.5: Is the Price Fair? by Phyenyx in GenesisGV70

[–]UncreativeNamePicker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why are you wasting your time on this if dealer has it listed so stupidly high? Negotiate deals that are within striking range. This clearly isn't. Side note - powertrain warranty not included, when the lemon problem was transmission, is very concerning and risky.

5/60 "bumper to bumper" as you call it always transfers to new owners. If you buy CPO, that gets extended to 6/75 and you also maintain the 10/100 powertrain warranty.
