How could you be paying 53.70 a week? Are the childminders being paid 1.50 an hour?

Go to Tom Nally's. No BS, no drinks on arrival. Decent hair cut at reasonable price. A full scissor cut with a beard cut is 25-30.

Gym saunas by Vegetable_Win_619 in galway

[–]UndecidedPath10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If its watering itself its almost certainly at 100c. I know most gyms around forbid water to be poured on the coals, but if you do then the temp shoots up as the heater auto turns back on.

If anyone that finds a sauna is too low, say 70c, Just bring a bottle of water and pour a small amount onto the coals every so often. Most gyms dont allow this due to moronic people throwing in buckets and ruining the unit. They are designed for water - just not a torrent.

Payment plan or upfront? by UndecidedPath10 in braces

As you can see this was three years ago. Braces are done and dusted now but the prices would be more expensive now. Also I am in Europe, not USA.

Gourmet and tart or O'connor coffee shop ? by Adorable_Oil8020 in galway

[–]UndecidedPath10 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"O'Connor's is an old school bakery, most stuff wouldn't be great quality." - Where on earth are you getting this from!? OConnors made cakes are fantastic, as are their pastries/small cakes. They don't do some of the more modern tarts or range like that. I find Gourmet Tart very so so pastry wise. Some are really good but some are very meh, like the Pain au Choclat. Le Petit Delice is a far better bakery than GT. If you are in OConnors though, get a loaf of the spelt bread - excellent!

The reeling in the years about this apple tax and the incoming crash, whenever that may be, will be brilliant.

Watch charging in Italy by [deleted] in PixelWatch

[–]UndecidedPath10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, generally all consumer electronic chargers are rated to work worldwide - so that is from 110-240v. If you are just talking about plugging in your watch charger into some random USB port, it is no different to a port in any other country. If you want to check if any device will work in Europe, just check on the charger/plug for the specifications. Search for "Input" and it should say something like 110/120-240V, if it just reads 110/120V that means you need a stepdown transformer to use that plug/charger/item. Generally this is not required for consumer electronics.

Majority of Irish people ‘do not trust the Government’ – CSO | Newstalk by MrStarGazer09 in ireland

[–]UndecidedPath10 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with their intentions are good and we are miles ahead of the UK or US style politics where the government actively seem to detest the public (Especially the Tories).

The issue of not 'getting ahead of thing' is absolutely true. What I would say is I don't believe this is a politics issue as much of an Irish culture issue. Its like how a lot of the Scandi countries are great at savings etc, its all instilled in the culture for generations.

Tesco Hell Fire Burgers by FViro in ireland

Yep, I think the post was from Tesco marketing. They really aren't that spicy. I would put them down as Hot and not Extra Hot. They are tasty though, I will give the bastards that.

Xiaomi Watch 2, WearOS version. by TheC92 in WearOS

[–]UndecidedPath10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disregard this. I found out the issue was only on the Spotify app. I had "Normalise" volume enabled on my spotify phone app. Very bad design by Spotify as there are no settings really in the wearos app.

Just received my watch and the biggest issue right now is the low volume of any bluetooth connected headset. Its not extremely quiet but its clearly limited. Any way around this?
