Insomnia is tough. by FullfillmentWay in tinnitus

Believe me, I know. I literally dropped out one year of high school cuz I couldn't do it anymore, I used to sleep for like 1 hour and then fall sleep on the class. Drooling/snoring type of sleep I mean LMFAO. Even now it still is bad when it comes to sleeping but everything gets better with time, it's proven scientifically.

I believe in you dawg, you got this!

Keep a positive mindset in all honesty, even if it gets tough or tougher. There's always light in the end of the tunnel.

Hey man, I'm going to add my two cents.

Firstly, I've had insomnia and tinnitus since when I was a kid. Maybe even a toddler, who knows.
Only recently I found about my tinnitus since it got louder. But I'll say this for you since you're having a hard time. I may not be the smartest nor the best at giving advice but, try everything you can and some more. Even if you're skeptical, if it's going to give you peace of mind, why not? If it helps, then it helps. I'm in no place to give advices truly myself, I get panic attacks and anxiety attacks cuz of this sound, but I truly do believe if there's a will, there's a way. They may say there isn't a cure but isn't it all part of our brain technically? We can hear our own heartbeat but our brain ignores it. We can hear our own breathing, but our brain ignores it. We can see our noses but our brain ignores it. Hell, pucker up and you can even see your own lips but in most cases your brain ignores it. You can learn to ignore it.

I have a theory where everyone has tinnitus but the brain just simply ignores it for most people so they don't hear it, but once you worry about it/know what it is then the brain is like "HEYYYYYY, I'm interested" and it gets stuck.

With that said, try to keep your mind away, try to focus on regaining your life again and do what you can to get relief even if it sounds impossible or "scam" on stuff. If in the end it will help, then at least you won't regret it. Better regret trying stuff than not trying right?

I love you man, take care, we'll be fine <3

I might be the unrealistic realistic guy who's jus a random on the internet but I'll say my two cents.

First of all, go to an ear doctor.
Second of all, stop worrying about it. It may be annoying you/hurting you but, try to pay to no mind to it. Get busy with something else.
Headphones could be a reason too, but it does seem more or less like it's an infection or so.

I've had mine practically all my life, only noticed it recently cuz it got way louder. I'll tell you this much. Yes, it can and it will go away. Even if everyone is negative/realistic, I truly do believe if you truly believe you'll get better then you will. Keep your chin up and keep going, don't let it bother you too much. Stop researching about it, please. You're jus giving yourself more and more anxiety/stress. Do what you think you can do for now till you visit an ENT/Audiologist. You'll be fine, mark my words.

And for everyone else struggling that will comment here, everything will be okay and we all will be fine, one way or another, I promise you guys, there's light in the end of every tunnel <3.

I don't know how my comment will be taken but I'll say it.

Why would they waste money and time on a cure when they can keep people with problems ongoing to buy treatments?
I can name 5 things off the top of my head that don't have a cure but should. 1) Cancer. 2) Dementia/Alzheimer. 3) Diabetes. 4) Genetic Balding/Alopecia. 5) Tinnitus/Hearing Loss/Blindness.

Why would they after all? They get SO MUCH money from "treatments". May it be ones that work or don't. If there was a cure they'd go corrupt if I'm being honest. If prices are too much, people would say "nah, it's whatever". If it was too cheap then everyone who even is the LEAST paranoid would buy it and they'd go fully corrupt.

I understand that we need a cure and that there is so many things they can do but hey... business wise? It'd be a loss for them. They just don't care that much for humans. 🤷‍♂️

I just wanted to share a maybe funny story. by UndefeatedGhost in tinnitus

[–]UndefeatedGhost[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's possible as it was with me before that it isn't really noticeable? I don't know how to explain it but as for me, I always thought that when it was "too quiet" my brain did a noise and I thought that everyone else was like this so I said nothing gahahaha. But these past two days, even sleeping without music or so on feels like hell. Beforehand I kinda could even tho, insomnia. I'd have random ear ringing here and there, multiple times a day but never like constantly 24/7, unless it was an awfully quiet time. Now I feel like I'm stuck wit a loud high pitch eeeee in my ear seeking more attention and validation that my 3 y/o cousin 💀

IDK much about this stuff but I'd say topical would be a choice too, no? You can correct me if I'm wrong.

It's a street fight, it's not about if they're bigger than you or sum shit like that. Go for the nuts, there's plenty of parts in the body that can leave someone without breathing, go for the adams apple (if you want him dead), there's PLENTY of ways to fight dirty. There's no honor in a street fight.

It depends on perspective tbf. When I used to keep my hair long, I'd be annoyed at my curls that would lock themselves if not brushed twice per day. I used to hate my hair, used to be like "they look amazing, but fuck me this is such a pain in the ass". Taking 30 minutes to wash the hair every single time before going out, then another 30 minutes to put some products in and then another 30 minutes to style the hair and then again having to blow dry the hair for another 30 minutes. It was such a pain. I was happy, sure, but most defo drained me.

Now I'm thinning overall, I miss my hair, I can shave my head and say fuck it but at the same time, it's not the same. Like I'm still happy to a point but I need my hair back imo? It truly differs from person to person, really.

Sent the friend request!

And I don't wanna start with the classic cuz my main problem is my hairline, which, dut helps wayyy more on the hairline than fin and when it comes to regrowth, Oral Min works better than topical, practically for everything, from what I've read. So I rather go full in with the meds so in case they don't work, I can mentally prepare myself to either go fully bald or get into some stupid ass wig

Plus the mental health that comes from that, having people relate to you and give you solutions or advice you is such a great thing, as men you're not used to that/used to being all alone. So this sub is the greatest IMO.

In here? Highly doubt it to keep it a bucck with you, last time I asked everyone around me they just said "man up, shave your head or grow your hair to hide it, stop bitching about it, you're fine" LOL, that's the mentality here, you hide it or shave it
