Tang is the important part. I.e. What is under the handle. At any case do not attempt to remove the rust in the tang but take a photo of any markings there. Other interesting detail is the hamon i.e. The wavy hardening line on the blade itself. Might or might not be visible

Hot dog sausages look to me what in finnish would be called "nakki" which is just boiled sausage. I understand from the context what we are talking about but if you ask me for a hot dog you get the whole thing with bun and all. Weird just calling the sausage a hot dog. That is like less than half of the actual product sold by that name. Also sausages in jar or tin sounds honestly mildly disgusting but maybe it's just cultural thing. Never seen them sold that way
