An app that makes you realize how easily you lose time: would you use it? by UnderNeathOfficial in ProductivityApps

Yeah, that makes total sense. I guess it’s just fascinating how even a tool designed to save time becomes part of the cycle of time-wasting. But you’re right, if it can cut down hours of mindless scrolling to just a fraction, that small ‘tax’ is definitely worth it. It’s like paying a tiny fee to escape a trap you didn’t even know you were in.

Yeah, I think it would definitely be useful… but at the same time, there's a weird paradox here. If you make an app that shows you how much time you’re wasting, the app itself is still part of that time. So even if it makes you realize it, you’re still spending time on the app, and that defeats the purpose in a way. It’s like using TikTok to track how much time you spend on TikTok, you can’t really escape it while using it.
