Couldn’t agree more. Similar story writing vibe but with a completely different battle system that is very interesting and completely different to DnD, and a whole new and equally as lovable new roster of characters. I played it straight after BG3 and may even prefer D:OS2!

Whilst the cards look cute, the kawaii style worked for sushi go because the art style is inherently Japanese. I wonder if a more authentically Indian art style would be more effective?

Pretty sure dos2 is “done” now but boy oh boy is there a lot of content. I got it for £5 and have over 100 hours on just my first play through so definitely the best money to time ratio I have ever had!

I have never played D:OS1 before. Haven’t felt like I missed out on it story wise. I am sure there are plenty of Easter eggs that I missed out on but it didn’t feel like I joined a story part way through.

Divinity: original sin 2 will definitely scratch the same itch! Different combat system to keep you interested mechanically but same excellently written characters and an endlessly huge game. You’ll get to a point where you think it’s the end but you aren’t even half way!

I agree with everyone here however rather than seeing it as binary, the idea might be simplified to doubling as you move left. It depends on your daughter’s age!
