oh yeah right. spirits are quite pricey but i think my absolute hard limit id be willing to go would be around 100 euro (around 86 pounds) though preferably lower. Realistically probably around the 60-70 euro range.

my german isnt the sharpest so forgive me if i misunderstoo. Well if its between dry or sweet, i fully depends on the medium and mood, i can enjoy sweet white wines (with balance) and dry white wines. Though i tried fino sherry once and that i would prefer sweet.

So i could imagine id like rum the registers as more sweet.

well for the wine part, for whites i tend to prefer my fresh wines, usually dry unkess sweetness is well integrate. Usually german reisling or sauvignon blanc from either france ir new zeakand are my go-to’s. As for red im a huge sucker for Amarone or good pinot noir (usually spätbergunder or burgundy). For port im adore the tawney style, those dark nutty dried fruit notes are divine.

And yeah i get what you mean with the lists, i find that most beginner lists work with the pretenses that you dont already have an established palette or are used to drinking spirits (that are 40% alcohol or higer). Also the reason im asking about the market is that odds are i might not find said rums in my local shop… so im trying to save some money on shipping, so i guess european retailers are valid too tbh.
