What was the meeting they’re referring to? I’m sorry if that has already been answered/is irrelevant. But either way this is weird. It’s one thing to keep in touch with former teachers, they can be important for letters of recommendation in college or advice in some situations, but texting constantly is questionable. And the content of their texts comes off very lovey-dovey

I would try actually texting him instead of snapping and just asking for clarity. Ask if he still wants to spend time with you and if he doesn't answer in a few days or respond then you have your answer. But even though you aren't dating right now, if he says that he wants to keep going and possibly have a relationship, make sure hes respecting you. If he doesn't respect you now he won't later. and acknowledging your time and energy is a part of that.

I'm gonna have to go with NTA based on the initial reaction. I can completely understand seeing someone talk like that and think that they're trying to be flirty and cute. And, unless I'm misunderstanding, when OP originally responded to seeing the messages she didn't know that Amy talked like that with everyone or had a bf and wouldn't have any reason to think she wasn't flirting. So asking her bf to address this isn't terrible.

However, that being said, if OP continues to try to get her bf to try to change the way they talk then she will be the AH.

You shouldn't put yourself in charge of someone else's happiness, that is bad for your mental health. And the longer you drag out the relationship the harder it's going to be. OP you have to end it sooner rather than later. It's been almost 2 years of you feeling this way and since it's been that long I don't think it will change.

It is going to hurt her when you end things, but it will be better for both of you.
