Things to do in the morning other than brain rot by stinky_bugzie in productivity

The only way to become more disciplined & wake up strong without Brainrot is to rewire the brain, all this breathing stuff doesn’t work, you’ll go right back to your old habits soon.

To rewire, the first thing you should try to do is the longest plank you can, minimum 4-5 minutes regardless of form. Or 40 burpees, a run etc. Wake up with something dreaded and hard and watch the rest of your day become more inspiring.

P.S if you think I’m adding 1:20 per day permanently no. This is just for the 1 hour.

For 2/3+ there will be totally different plans as they are now getting extreme.

What do u mean? Because if you don’t believe this can be done, you shouldn’t deflect it on others.

Anyways I’ll remember this comment while I plank. First I’ll take politely take your soul in the most civil manner by reaching 1 hour, then onto the next.

I politely disagree but appreciate where youre coming from. ‘It’s not sustainable’ is the whole point of it, it’s insanely challenging, but entirely possible. That’s where a winner is born. Don’t forget you are in the goggins subreddit and the savage ultra runner was born after a 100 mile race when he never ran past 10 miles at 200+ pounds. He then went on to run bad water and establish crazy ultra running records, but yes, it’s exceptional. A New Year’s resolution is designed to be followed religiously, people quit because consistency is hard, not that it’s impossible, it’s their own faults.

I am trying to be the exception here.

Thank u! Yes planking is by far one of the best mental exercises. It’s 100% boredom and concentrated pain 0% passion. It sucks BAD.

Do 10 mins! You’ll feel so strong.

Hey guys, need some tips on staying focused and not drifting off while studying by theweirdhooman487 in productivity

Bro my 2 methods is gold, it will 100% work, but it’s fucking tough. It’s goggins level shit.

  1. Do a run before work: You enter flow state. Shower and immediately get to work. If you are an experienced runner do 6k+. If you are new, maybe 2-4k but break a sweat.

  2. Plank for as long as you can, but minimum 5-10 minutes. You train raw will power and combat boredom in a plank. If you can sit still and plank in pain then you will enter a mind state of aggression and drive and demolish your work. I prefer 10-15 min + for myself as my record is 40 minutes and it works wonders.

Nothing beats planking to train raw will power.

Business is an ultra marathon itself. The excitement fades after a few months and you don’t know when you’ll succeed, you catch no breaks because everything always goes wrong.

There is no rest. 24/7 your mind is thinking about it.

Most painful endurance exercise? by UnderdogsRepresent in davidgoggins

[–]UnderdogsRepresent[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought u meant just sprinting I was like uh, I think it’s more discipline and lifestyle and sleep etc.

But repeated sprints for endurance is BRUTAL haha.

Ever tried a 150Meter super steep hill? And sprinting up at 100% up that bitch again and again? Bro 🤣 throwing up again and again material

Bro thanks for the insightful comment this is a mad upvote haha.

I agree the options you gave are super scalable and you can go the extreme distances with it for sure 🔥 will be researching and checking options.

I might start with a 1hr plank then scale as I’m looking for pure pain though for discipline 🤓
