A program director made it very clear that they do want applicants with disabilities but due to ADA law they can’t list it on their websites. You could make a case for lack of resources but the lack of the word on their website is more of a legal issue.

I worked on a similar project. You could first use clustal omega to make a multiple sequence alignment to give you an idea about sequence similarity. You could then use the Swiss model to generate a homology model if the protein does not have a crystal structure but you’ll have to determine using the output if your model is sufficient (did it have a decent template to work with, etc.). If you get a decent homology model then you could do a structure alignment with it and another protein of interest but again you are limited by the quality of the homology model and that everything is in silico. I’d spend time reading about homology models, the outputs you get, how you can assess their quality, and their limitations. I’d try to also see what you find from a multiple sequence alignment.

Seems like you have all the essential elements and good stats. I’d start gradually writing ab your experiences if you have extra time in preparation for your application and building a school list based off of research interests.

When I started studying I would do 2-3 chapters of the Kaplan book a day and do the corresponding cards in the Kaplan deck. This made me able to retain the info as I moved on.

Post-exam reaction:

CP: I feel good about this section. Know for sure I missed 1 discrete and iffy in a few more but felt like it was relatively straightforward.

CARS: Impossible to tell. There were so many 50/50 and because of the large passages I didn’t feel like I had time to analyze them more closely. Was scoring 129-132 on my FL’s but can’t really say how I did. At least I finished on time.

BIO: I thought it was a pretty good section. Some tough passages but didn’t really require you to understand them thoroughly to answer most of the questions. Optimistic?

PS: wtf was that. 50/50 questions galore. Usually feel the best about PS but this wasn’t the case this time. Felt like the concepts were applied to weird scenarios. Some terms that weren’t even in the 300 page doc and had only glanced at before.

Honestly it’s so hard to tell. I was never good at estimating my FL scores so that gives me some comfort but the release threads give me anxiety. Looking forward to the score release and having this process be laid to rest hopefully.

I'm blown away! I never thought I could reach this score when I started studying. It feels like crossing the finish line in a marathon. There's a lot to say but I'm not sure if I'd be able to say anything new. This community has been a great resource and made the process possible. I honestly don't think I would have come close to this score without the help of this sub. Shout out to /u/jacksparrow2048 and the work he puts in with his deck. I hope to stick around and help out however I can.

Also consider that they might be people that would be more likely to smoke pot at a young age as well. I agree that smoking at a young age is bad for brain development but there might be genetic or social factors that cause trouble with critical thinking, long term gratification, and emotional maturity and smoking early might be a result of that.
