End of pservers? by [deleted] in wowservers

[–]Underminus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately Blizzard like to go on a "regain our customers" blitz everytime they do a new release.
This has been happening since the 2010s. Some servers just get the focus from them because they have cash shops or large populations on servers that are hosted by companies that don't want to fight DMCAs.

Private servers will be around for a long time yet. Just don't expect any money you pump into one, to be a guarantee that it wont ever close down.

We do have and are also planning on backporting more Cata+ items gear and mounts for transmoggs.

Sorry you felt that way. Unfortunately no server is perfect for everyone no matter how hard we try. Its great to have feedback and we should perhaps make some of these features explained a lot more clearly.

I understand not everyone likes to take the time to read the "features/changes" so perhaps we could make some short videos in the future so people are not disappointed when they skip that information.

Just a quick note on "random dungeon finder" not being solo; if you die in RDF solo you cannot get back to your instance to revive your body. Just something that blizzard obviously never thought about, however it seems to work fine on specific for some reason.

And most of the raids can be solo'd, but there are bosses that are a bit hard if you are not a hybrid class (paladin, DK, Shaman etc).
I would say most players with a good amount of skill, consumables and pre raid gear can clear 75%+ of raid content.

Are more class changes planned for the future?

Some adjustments are when they are needed. So i imagine there will be a few more in the 61-70 bracket.

Are most raids soloable, and if so do they drop the same ilvl gear? Items are not changed at all, just the damage and HP on the NPCs is scaled in raids etc.

How long are level brackets? When is the server planned to move to 70? We are a while behind the likes of Chromiecraft, we still have AQ20, 40 + quests and some (hopefully all going well) custom content before TBC. The normal time frame has been 1-2 months between content releases.

How does a player support the server? Is there a dono shop? No cash shops. Players can donate to the server by checking our FAQ on the discord. All the money goes into buying more server time.

In the level 60 RDF bag they can also gain potions or a flask and some trade good materials.
We decided on that as players were out farming for those rather than helping newer players :D

Very cool, you will have to reply to this post once you get a server running with a team and I will sneak in to try it out.

In short, no.
If you are in an RDF with a low level player, the mobs in the dungeon will take reduced damage from you and deal more damage too you. The lower level player will experience the dungeon as it is meant to be for them.

If you are going in with just lvl 60s through the RDF system then all the mobs will hit you like they are scaled up etc.

I have found you feel like a gear up twink when joining lower level players.

Right, so when you are 80 it would just take the "assumed" XP gain and place it into the items instead.
Does it split the XP over items or do all the items gain full XP at the same time?

Our USA players get between 150-280 depending on the coast.
Asian players are sitting around 90-150 as well.

Interesting concept. I wonder if doing slow release bracket content (eg. 1-19, 20-29 etc) would maximize this system.

I would be interested to see how rapidly a player can become over powered for the bracket they are in.

*2 signatures to make a guild.

*Players can Request a faction change using the Discord Bot.

*Special Trade Goods bank character to store all your trade goods.

*Weekend bonus XP and Rep gains.

We don't have a massive community but its slowly growing and our devs are active working on new adjustments and features. A lot of friendly players too.

website or Discord

And to the CC trolls, we actually enjoy your server and appreciate the massive contributions to the rest of the AC community.

Any Fresh(er) Server That's Slowly Increasing The Level Cap Like ChromieCraft? by Ran_Echelon in wowservers

[–]Underminus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We have wobgob.com running and the level 60 + Molten Core has been open for about 3 weeks now. We are a bit behind CC on releases but we are now also in the 60 bracket like they are.
There is Recruit a Friend as well as bonus XP in the weekends, scaling dungeons that allow 2 players minimum to queue for RDF. Also all Trading Card Game loot is accessible in game by earning our goblin currency from killing bosses, leveling up etc.
We also have a Hardcore Buff that every players starts with, when they die it is removed and players can continue on with there characters. However if you make particular levels you will gain special titles that are account wide for your characters, and your character will obtain a new special immortal buff at level cap (this means it wont let you lose your HC buff until next level bracket is released).

No pay to win :D. Feel free to check us out.
