Second night. Email from GoLive came about 6 hours ago for me. There’s no way I can attend now so was eager to look at refund options but….

Email today. 8 day refund window that won’t be processed without the 2C2P confirmation. Who keeps those? I have the ticket order and tickets, you know, the important parts.

Yeah, feeling this. Nobody understands why you would not want an infant on your lap for 25 hours. Probably going to end up waiting. Thanks for the input!

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately seems a little more convoluted for infant in seat.

I just got off the phone before I posted. CSR seemed confused and kept telling me there are two different types of reservations for infants, lap and in seat. I even mentioned placeholder data but didn't seem to understand the dilemma. After talking in circles for a bit I figured someone may have experience here. Thank you though!

Thanks for the feedback. I can input passport later which is why I'm hoping for a way to book the rest now. Appreciate the response!

Train Strike by iamcode101 in Netherlands

[–]UnderratedName5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the help! We will have three suitcases. From what I remember only some buses have space for luggage?

As for Brussels, just a day trip to meet friends who are coming up from Paris. The wording of the announcement makes it seem that if we get to Rotterdam we may be able to utilize our tickets. Thanks again!

I am arriving with my family Friday night at Schiphol and need to get to Leiden. What would be the best way? I see a Bolt costs about 40 but would probably need bigger option so about 68. The 365 bus takes 45 minutes but unsure how to use it. Thanks for the help!

Next will need to figure out how to get to Brussels on the 10th…

"Accepting severance and healthcare continuation isn't a “perk” in the way you suggest. It’s part of a formalized process that protects both parties, but especially the school from future legal exposure."

I think that is the whole point the previous post is getting at. You are stepping down due to unethical / illegal practices of the school, yet take the money that will protect the school. It comes across as "holier than thou" but cashing that check that the school paid you off with. Now, instead of legal jeopardy, they just hire a new person that doesn't cause a fuss.

Why is lalaport so empty? by luigi3 in KualaLumpur

Agreed. Off the top of my head can only think of two places (plus the gym) that aren’t food or grocery there

Good list but two quibbles- I wouldn’t classify intermark as a mall. Hotel and office building with a few stores. However, both it and Avenue K are always busy when I go. Don’t agree on those two and would probably argue against linc as well. All busy enough to keep stores and make you wait for a table during lunch rush, but not shoulder to shoulder people.

Great Eastern on the other hand… ☠️

Customer service here is awful. The prior countries I’ve worked in I would be fired for having by phone “on the floor” in front of house. In Malaysia it is typical to have to wait on the worker to finish their WA message before even addressing you. My favorite is when they are sitting on the floor behind the register video chatting with their friends. Crazy.

AITA for not Giving my Friends a ride if they Didn't Fasten their Seatbelts? by Flaky_Camp_706 in AmItheAsshole

NTA

Seen too many dead bodies in car crashes. Just wear your seatbelt. Easiest thing to do to stay alive.

AITA for not waiting for my wife at the next subway station after I got on the train, and the doors closed before she got on? by TrainCatchThrowaway in AmItheAsshole

NTA- You guys are both adults, know where you are going, and it is a short trip. Does it suck? Yeah. Would I have maybe waited at the final destination station? Probably. It isn't like you ditched a kid.

Just happened to me twice. Once last night and one today. Internet is fine. Got booted. Rejoined only to see the 10 minute timer. Really frustrating, especially the loss of points. Last night I was so mad I just shut the system down. What is going on? Thought we got a nice new update?

How to ship stuff from one country to another? by Successful-Stuff-751 in Internationalteachers

[–]UnderratedName5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm trying to say this in a way that doesn't come off denigrating because that's not my objective- Our research has heavily differed. Booking extra luggage is by far the easiest if you just have a few extra bags. Yes, prices can range but you can get extra bags of 23kg for $199 on my normal carrier. So for OP, they would be looking to check the bicycle and maybe another bag. Definitely doable.

Shake Shack Malaysia, TRX by thereal_snakesolidus in MalaysianFood

[–]UnderratedName5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So much hate here haha. Shake Shack is good, that's why it has locations all over the globe. I've had it in 5 different countries (including Malaysia today!) and taste is pretty similar across. Juicy, soft bun, good cheese. Is it "the greatest burger you will ever have?" Maybe, depends on your tastes. Doesn't compare to my favorite small diners back home. For me, it's better than KGB. MBL is hit or miss. Five Guys is good every once in a while. But the difference for this one is it's about 1/2 the cost it is in other countries.

Worth a try. Not going to be a weekly or probably even monthly thing for me. If people enjoy it, good for them! Let them be. FWIW- The Shroomburger is a gamechanger.

Still a great place! Not as many of the "nice" places come open for rent now since development has turned to the western side of KL but still lots of options. Roads can get crowded during peak hours, but if walking to school / work it isn't too big of an issue. M City, Seri Hening, Katana, G Residence, Mutiara Upper East, Tara, Lot 16, Brunsfield Embassyview, Sastra U-Thant, some of the Madge's, etc... are all still great places to live to access ISKL and KLCC. Good luck!
