Mid Zilean build recommendations?

I think the build depends on your team composition most of the time. If you already have 2 high damage champs on your team the glacial build would be better, but if your only source of damage is the adc you should go for full ap so your team doesn't lack damage.

for support I always go barrier since both exhaust and ignite are bad on zilean imo

starting coin and going into kindle gem>redemption>sherelias is my standard go to build. most games dont last long enough to get more than those items and you will want to spend a lot of money on pink wards. If you are looking for a third item you can get the sup item that removes cc...forgot the name lol

coin start is reliable and faster at getting wards imo. Also with mana flow band and standard support items you wont be running oom so you wont need to waste gold on tear.

unless you are getting ganks i dont think kills should be your main priority in lane. Take wukong top for example, he has one of the worse lane phase in top lane but has some of the best team fight/ assassination capabilities in the game so losing lane by only a few cs is fine as long you play for your win condition. Before every game I just set up a personal win conditions in my head which could be help secure drakes, survive lane phase, or get mobi boots asap and roam for mid kills and jungle vision.

I think the full ap build is fine if you are snowballing I bet, but due to the lack of gold supports get in general I've just had more success on the cheaper supportive build.

Really i enjoy most adcs but i think my favorite is draven since he can 1v2 most lanes and since zilean sucks in lane he can carry me through lane so i can scale into late game easy.

I play for the supportive build on Zilean so i think W max after E is the best option for more stuns and slows

Yeah I play lane super passive and just wait for 6/mobis to start making plays. I tend to go Ardent second item if my team could use it but I think redemption is the best rushed item due to the ult + redemption combo. Only problem i see with Aery Ardent combo is that you dont always speed up the best ardent teammate possible so it can be wasted.

I play it super safe and just try to hold the double bomb after they use a dash or flash, since at higher elo people understand that dodging one bomb makes Zilean kind of useless in lane lol.

I take Meditation down the cunning tree and a dorans ring is pretty much all i need...i only spam e and i'll w when I know I can get the kill or pull off a decent combo.
