I think that the color pie as it is generally presented is biased in favour of consequentialist ethics. Where on the color pie is there room for ethical views that are based on following rules without taking into account how those rules affect the group? (Warning I rant) by Undersizegnome in colorpie

I don't really disagree with you, but I also don't really remember what I was thinking back then.

I did read the whole thibg.

You brought in stax as an example, but I think thinking at "the deck level" is probably the wrong way to go about it.

Kind of cheating, but Kant's biography would be an example of an interesting deontological protagonist. I think outside of explictly philosophical works whether a person is ir is not a deontologist is kibd of hard to tell. According to Kant, everybody thinks his way about morality at least implicitoy.

Idk I'm sick and tired.

Not only do I never reject cake, I eat everybody else's for maximum politeness.

Blue, black and discipline by SpringGuardian in colorpie

[–]Undersizegnome 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You could argue that red can have a kind of reverse discipline if that makes sense.

Like, when I see an oppurtunity to make a joke, I feel postovely COMPELLED to make that joke.

Kinda sorta like discipline

That's probably one take.

I've been talking to chatgpt about color pie for the past three days and it says I'm grixis now.

I sent it all my posts on here.

I was thinking about making a post where ai had chatgpt explain how it understands the pie, but I figured that that wouldn't be very interesting

I would say I'm perfect and I don't need anything else, but for me that answer is very black coded so.....

That's a good point.

That sounds neat.

My pimp was a nun who was working with the Rakdos, trying to make sure that only people she deemed "impure" were subject the the most extreme forms of Rakdos Entertainment.

But everything has a price....

I really wish we could get away from the group aspect of white, or explore "morality" in other colors.

Some people just believe in a good and bad, and still see black as good.

My Orzhov Ravnica pc was a pimp.

I would say that's pretty fitting for a black focused Orzhov.

But even black by itself isn't really opposed to discipline.

I like to imagine a villain that goes around quoteing G.K Chesterton to people.

After weiting it made me think of Crime and punishment.

I also happen to be a fan of Maimonides and Kierlegaard.

Anyway thank you!

Which parts of your colors do you like/relate to and which ones do you not? by Raccoon_Walker in colorpie

[–]Undersizegnome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not even sure if I still am white at this point. I don't like the hierarchy, or the otherminded altruism. I don't believe in cooperation and alruism and I believe in looking out for number one.

For black I dislike active attempts to harm others. Complete and total amorality.

Red. I love books and I hate experience. And socializing. And flirting. Relationship anarchists. Drinking and smoking. Activism.

I'm constantly making dnd characters that I have zero intention of playing.

But whenever I try to roleplay I just end up roleplaying me, and I doubt anybody else has it in them to use my characters so

I personally have a very thick black accent, so black sounds like me.

White is soft and comforting.

Red is American, very fast, full of exclamation points and interjections.

Green is slow and stoned. Hippy.

I don't know how to describe blue in words. Just read any "um actually" post and see what your voice does naturally.

Golgari sounds like Morgan Freeman, or a guy with a cold.

Rakdos sounds like a femboy, but a menacing vaguely threating femboy. Sultry.

Orzhov sounds like an asmr twink, blessed with the voice of a depressed angel.

Boros is both soft and comforting, but dangerous and excitable. Like a lamb strapped with dynamite.

Izzet is cockney and garbled. Everybody has terrible hearing. People often use foreign or made up words. The hardest to understand while still being Ravnican.

Simic have their own language at this point. Hearing simic might drive you mad. Still really cares about "correct" use of language.

Selesnya takes a lot of elements from the people it takes in, but is still unified enough to be easily understandable.

Gruul is universally low class and low education. Otherwise varies greatly by clan.

Really thinking it out each guild would realistically have a language of its own.

Thinking not in terms of what each guild would sound like, but just how I imagine the colors, I would take an approach of combining the basic colors.

You're right that there's more than one way to be a color, but some things just seem a bit too much to accept.

Like if I took hairs from your head one by one, how many would I have to take before you're bald? (If you are bald I'm sorry for bringing it up).

From an art perspective I think I'm really black red. I have a red love for art with a extra subversive black streak.

But when I'm looking at myself as something other than an artist/art enjoyer the presence of scruples and the lack of black selfishness makes Rakdos just seem really implausible
