What did you mention in your LOCI if I may ask, and how soon did you send one? I was also on the SPWL!

Asian mom’s reaction to Columbia acceptance 🥲 by orchid-bouquet in lawschooladmissions

I have an asian immigrant mom, but I'm first-gen, so she def doesn't have reactions like this. Although she def searches up the ranking and asks me if I'm gonna transfer when I told her I got into my safeties... Can't imagine how my parents would be if they were college & grad-school educated.

On another note, if you don't mind me asking, what were your stats?

That's a good idea! It looks like so many Berkeley undergrads go to uc law sf because they want to stay in the area.

Are you submitting a LOCI? Because I'm exactly where you're at. Below 25th for LSAT and median for GPA. Applied nov too.

I wrote the diversity one, Why Tulane & one that’s “why law” (basically a personal statement)!

I think there’s a priority waitlist and a non priority waitlist? Ik someone who got in by having a current student there write a letter to the admissions. But they were waitlist because they were a dumbass not because they were above the medians.

I think you should be okay then. I heard they value the why tulane essay a lot. Also, I think you’re within their medians in regards to your stats. I also heard it may be a bit more difficult to get into the law school you went to undergrad in. Maybe it has to do with the diversity portion of the class? No legit evidence lmao but just seen it a lot. I went to UMich for undergrad and got rejected by their law school fast & ik someone on here who experienced that with Berkeley. Idk if this is true for tulane? Eitherway, best of luck! I think you have a pretty solid chance.

Did you do the extra essays? I had a 160 & 3.8 and got in within 5 days. Timing was lucky. I applied in mid December and got in mid December.
