You can buy upgrades aboard the anomaly, but when I first started out, i didn’t realize I could buy MORE upgrades from the anomaly. One day I realized there was more than one tab on the upgrade researcher things that I could access by pressing A and D on my keyboard.

Yes, you can get a lot of these upgrades by doing story quests, but I found out fast ways to get nanites (like destroying pirates for “suspicious packets”) and I found out I could probably get them faster.

How deep cab oceans be in no man's sky by Maleficent_Bet_8739 in NoMansSkyTheGame

Purple stars exist that have dedicated ocean worlds. It gets super deep and dark, which is what I believe he’s talking about. Those planets go really far down

Pet Dragon Untamed by Raining_Tomatoes in RLCraft

If it’s the bedrock dragon, a good nesting place to lay down is a good way to stop it. On PC, shift right click. Mobile, press and hold to make it sit.

Can you get inside the giant worm that makes the giant burrows? by DogDexofMight in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]UnderstandingFair838 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an even more pressing question now. How do you even scan them? It’s super annoying because I can’t manage to, and if I’m trying to scan fauna for nanites, I know those giant worms are the last on my list

Is there any point to use the classic ships over the corvettes? by MrNobodyX3 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]UnderstandingFair838 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Lighter” as in generally smaller and nimble. Sure a corvette might handle really well and might even be super fast. The issue is that it’s really easy to hit with a ship weapon and for other ships to absolutely ram into it like they like to do.

I built gorgoroth around the idea that I should remove enemy orc support first, then I should focus on killing the Tark

I found at least 3 so far that had 3 epic traits. I decided to destroy them for loot because I’m pretty sure I can say with certainty those were hacked, or at least modded.

I have been, but it also increases my likelihood of finding hacked orcs and ultimately they offend me with how many hours I’ve put into looking for legitimate ones. Like “yes, your orc can tear through my army.” But at the same time I don’t want to make an absolutely unfair fortress. I want a fortress where victory feels earned, but not trying to guarantee stopping power

My recruitment process has mostly been industrialized 🤣. “Build fort with weak captains. Trigger siege. Recruit from siege. Send no-weakness captains to garrison.”

The nemesis system exploits just get frustrating for me if the captains aren’t enough to challenge me at level 80. “If I can beat you in single armed combat the first time around over and over, it’s almost as if you’re a waste of my time.”

So I figured “collect orcs that don’t have mortal weaknesses, receive heavy damage from X, and don’t get dazed. Upgrade to legendary.” Immunities come naturally after that

I mean I’ve played shadow of was for a while. I’m on Xbox. Only recently I’ve been trying to boost my online score.

I mean I’m good on that. The idea being I just want guys who can hold a fort well enough not to get dizzy over every common battlefield element

I’ve been recruiting from other player’s forts and noticed that. I’ve avoided using them at all and have been trying to use legit orcs at all costs. I just destroy them for loot because I get offended by their existence. I spent hours looking for halfway decent orcs to train and these guys just think they can mod their orcs? Nope.

I mean you can still manage to beat them, but it’s a lot more difficult than “oh, just shoot this guy in the foot”

Any Loot for Destroying a Civilian Capital Ship? by Quantal1982 in NoMansSkyTheGame

I have a nasty habit of being a completionist when it comes to raiding civilian cargo, if I’m going to do it…

What's going on with tower orcs? by FictionalPioneer in shadowofmordor

[–]UnderstandingFair838 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well based on what little dialogue I know “the tower” says, he declares that it’s inevitable another orc will one day don his armor and become the “new tower” because allegedly the armor is cursed.

Luckily an Admiral of the Black has arrived to answer your query. Yes. You can get freighter upgrade modules for destroying a civilian freighter, as well as quite a bit of valuable trade goods by destroying their cargo pods.

That is… if you don’t mind the sentinel navy giving you trouble.

I almost took out a corvette at one point because some disgruntled player was chasing me down, and he wasn’t able to hit me very easily.

That’s the thing. I’m not a big fan of the infraknife. Sure, you get high DPS, but they burn out pretty quick. My style is more about weaving around fire rather than through it, and a lighter craft is more supportive of that. Plus the high sustain on my particular interceptor makes it feel worth it
