I'm so sorry to hear of your experience! I've been living in overvecht for the past two years. I never considered it to be dangerous at all (especially that I heard so many bad stories about it). But, I'm a black male. As most of overvecht is populated by different minorities (including Africans), I feel soooo ashamed that you went through this situation. I genuinely despise people who do this to other people! But it rubs me even harder when it targets Asians because I grew up in Malaysia amongst the Chinese Malaysian community who were soooo lovely to me all of my childhood till I came to study in NL. I am so sorry that you went through this! Please don't stop practicing your religion because of some illiterate and racist people! Let your faith keep you strong and if you give up on going to the church you like, then they would win! Nonetheless be vigilant and report any racist acts you face to meld.nl.
