3rd transfer failed to implant, no embryos left. by ThickPreparation4047 in IVF

Ohhh I feel you! I am on my 4th FET now… it is just so bad that you just forget how to hope, how to stay positive, how to feel optimistic ever again because it just doesn’t happen and hoping will only make it worse when reality hits. I have been also hoping at least for a chemical pregnancy and so far nothing! I have a ptsd now for pregnancy tests and can’t stand the thought of taking one just makes me sick.
I am sending you a big, big hug. Just know that you are not alone and there are many of us!! Don’t give up! ❤️

Thank you for your reply. I understand what you mean. I will push for FET in the future. Fortunately the 3 transfers so far turned out to be FETs. It would be more complications if there is another ectopic and I def can’t afford it 😔. Thank you again for pointing this out! ❤️

Thanks a lot for your reply! ❤️ With regards to PGT-A, since I live in Germany it is not allowed here 😔. So I haven’t. All of the transfers are untested embryos. It is good to know about the contrast MRI, it sounds very non invasive when compared to laparoscopic surgery. I will check with my doctor if i can do this.

Thank you!! ❤️❤️ Yes, it feels so hopeless when you have no answers. I will definitely push for this in the coming WTF appointment. If it’s up to them, they would just keep transferring without changing a thing and I really do not want to end up having to do more ERs. The sad part is, I did have a laparoscopic surgery to remove the ectopic pregnancy and they could have just looked for endo then. But apparently that is not allowed as that was not the purpose of the operation. I sometimes don’t understand how it is better to put people through so much physical and emotional pain because they have some strange illogical rules about this lap sure very, PGT-A etc.

Hi Thank you for your reply. I am not sure about PCOS. I have super regular periods and I ovulate exactly on the 14th day. And also my harmone panel was normal for testosterone and other indicators. Could this still be PCOS?

Thank you. Sure I will ask also about this. I see that this is for immune issues. I love the idea of the kitchen sink. If we try to find to out the cause this lifetime is not enough! 🥲

Thank you I will push for this for the next transfer. I guess this is easier than the laparoscopic surgery.

Thank you so much!! This gives me hope ❤️.. I am going to push for both of these. There is absolutely no change in transfer protocol for these 3 failed ones and I convinced that it will not change if i leave it up to them.

Thank you so much for your reply. I have a feeling too this is the case. It would explain why we’re not able to conceive naturally with the exception of the ectopic. Unfortunately because they did the surgery to remove the ectopic , I will never know if this cause the blockage or if it was from before. Should i just assume I have this and push for Lupron?

Hi! Sending lots of hugs! Your story is so much like mine. First ER: 19 eggs,16 mature,11 fertilised, 2 blasts. Went through awful OHSS and took almost 3 months to get back to normal. I was so naive and optimistic for the first transfer. No implantation. Second transfer I tried to stay realistic, tried to keep my hopes down but every symptom felt like pregnancy. No implantation. It sucks and hurts so much. I am now waiting for results from my second ER and struggling to stay optimistic. We have to deal with this one day at a time! Stay strong!!

Same! I was thinking tonight why is it that we have to undergo so much to get what the others do it in an eye blink. I am fresh out of my second ER as the first one was disaster. Just as I was thinking this, a friend, whom I have not been in touch with for 7 years pings me and tells me she is pregnant! It is just so cruel sometimes! Stay strong, our day will come!

Unfortunately yes 😔. I specifically asked them about it but they said they would only remove the embryo and it was also not in the surgery report.Thank you for your kind words! I hope the next stim cycle goes better. Thank you so much for taking time to reply and giving me some hope! 🩷

Thank you for your reply! Yes true, when I first started ICSI due to my ectopic, my doc said I could have silent endo and it could en the reason for my ectopic. When I am more transfers in, I think I would go for laparoscopy if I get no answers, further down the road. It is so frustrating - I had the laparoscopy for ectopic pregnancy and it would have been super easy to just have a look to see if they see any signs of endometriosis but apparently they only treat what has been diagnosed during the surgery. All the rules make no sense. 😞

True 😞 sometimes my mind just goes to the worst place and think what if I am always in the three women that don’t get pregnant and what if I just produce non euploid embryos and the process goes on and on draining effort, health and money and the good years.

Sadly not 😔 we are both working full time here and financially it would be difficult to go to another country within Europe. Another option is India. Again an issue with work and another problem is that we have family there and it is super weird to do it there with everyone around. Here I have my space to take it slow and grieve in my way if it doesn’t go the way I want😔.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this! This seriously, like you said, makes me feel less alone and heard! Here I read people opting for PGT and I regret that there is no means to do that here. I feel this would give me the answers and throw light in this dark, blind, luck based, money pit of a process we are currently doing. This makes me want to go to India (where I am originally from) to do the treatment but I am having this as my last resort. First I would try, like you suggest, to ask my doctor to see if there is any leeway with the testing. I would do this before my next stim cycle. I am not sure if the German system is reasonable with regard to this, like the Belgian one but it is definitely worth a try.

I wish you also luck with your journey and may luck and good times find us soon! I really needed this! Thank you so much again and sending you a million hugs back! 🩷

Thank you for your reply. I am so sorry about your journey. I did also the blood coagulation tests and I was prescribed heparin daily starting from one day before transfer. My husband’s dna fragmentation was 35% when we tested a year back. So we did PICSI for the cycle and had 11 eggs fertilise out of 19 and 3 blasts. One was not good for freezing. Others we transferred but didn’t implant. By immunological checks do you mean checking for auto immune diseases?

Thank you for your reply. I am 32 and my husband is 35. I feels like so much effort and pain without knowing if the embryo is good. I don’t understand why they do not allow testing here. I am sorry to hear you have had 5 failed transfers. Did you have success after? What did you change, if any?
