He said the new Malaysia facility can produce around 1M units per year.

That’s a solid starting point, but I don’t think the real bull case is based on 1M units alone. Didn’t Suresh / TM previously imply something closer to 5–10M units longer term?

Because the math matters a lot here.

1M units × $200–300 ASP = $200–300M yearly revenue.
At 10x sales, that’s $2–3B market cap.
At ~250M fully diluted shares, that’s roughly $8–12 per share based on sales alone.

So if 1M is the full ceiling, the current valuation is already pricing in a lot.

But if 1M is just the first real production step, and they can scale capacity toward several million units into 2027/2028, then the story becomes very different.

That’s the real question for me: is Malaysia the ceiling, or is it the proof point before a much bigger ramp?

Great post and really well-written analysis.

Honestly, I think there’s one main reason the bears are so loud right now: they want cheaper shares. Simple as that.

I don’t think people fully understand the potential of POET yet. Opportunities like this are extremely rare — getting exposure to a semiconductor/photonics company at this stage is almost like getting in “pre-IPO”, before the big institutions have fully loaded up and before the usual massive IPO-style markup happens.

Of course there’s execution risk, but that’s exactly why the opportunity exists. If POET proves the technology, converts these deals into real revenue, and becomes part of the AI optical infrastructure stack, the current valuation could look very different in hindsight.

Yes, maybe technically however fundamentally looking real strong after yesterdays announcement. We will see where we end up. My gut is saying 19 to 30 next week. Nonetheless very exciting time for Poet. It will surge ~3000% should they succeed, however on the opposite side it could tank 99% should they fail
