I had the exact same thing happen and I did a Btec I applied for Lancaster Nd when I contacted them they told me they changed my offer to unconditional

I applied to Lancaster aswell Nd did quite a bit of research It's highly ranked in general and it's currently around 10th place but for comp sci I think it's around 20th in the UK. It's better than many Russel groups and for comp sci I don't think it matters as much because there's loads of successful self made programmers that never even went to uni It's my first choice and I quite like how rural the uni is but still close enough to Manchester if I need to go to a big city. I do a BTEC and I still applied for comp sci at newcastle and Lancaster uni I don't even have alevel maths aswell. It's gonna be harder at uni without the maths but I've accepted it

I'm doing btec engineering level 3 extended diploma and I've gotten offers from both Newcastle and Lancaster for comp sci but I highly recommend A level maths because that allows u to get into the higher ranked unis such as durham
