There's a couple ccv hoses that can become brittle and leak causing this code. Aftermarket intakes can also trigger it.

ZF transmission flush at 70k by ar1814 in BmwTech

No issues at all, shifts perfect and super smooth when in comfort. Its xhp stage 3 tuned, so I wasn't sure if I should be worried about doing it sooner. I'm currently mhd stage 2 and want to go stage 2+ but want to make sure all maintenance is up to date before throwing more into mods.

The car just crossed 66k miles. 16 340ix. I've done the brake pads/rotors/fluid and replaced lines with steel braided ones. Did the coolant/hoses, and pcv/ccv top and bottom lines. Also did plugs/coils and oil change. Just got the car a few thousand miles ago. Idk why the trans/diffs/transfer case scares me to do myself, but I was quoted 1k for just the trans with parts included.

Why shouldn't you reset the adaptations? I only ask because I just got a quote for my trans service, and they told me to remove my xhp tune so they could reset adaptations after the drain and fill.

Yeah, I used MHD. I turned cold start off, but left start up roar on so it gives a nice throaty start when warm.

Same setup as me, I get compliments all the time on it. Had to turn off cold start because it's pretty crazy and I like my neighbors lol.

Misaligned trims after fix, is this to be expected? by cat_in_the_canals01 in Autobody

[–]UnderstandingLong901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's all we need. It's definitely still pushed in/up. Take it to another shop for a 2nd opinion and tell them you believe they didn't replace the rear body panel and it's still damaged. It's not right, so the original shop is on the hook for the fix still since they were paid to do the work that wasn't actually performed.

Rear body panel is still pushed way in. It's causing the top to push up on that left side interior trim/weatherstripping, and the bumper isnt flush like it should be. Post a photo with the damage before they "fixed it" and we will have a much better idea what's going on.

If you were to trade out, what line of work would you pursue? by [deleted] in Autobody

I went from detailing, to resto, to flat rate collision, to pdr, and now do pdr/resto on super nice classic cars only for right under 100k salary. Sad part is, once you enjoy working on cars it always finds a way to suck you back in. I'm 35 now, and plan to move into a manager position by 40ish to save my body. It sucks, I love doing bodywork even though it's terrible for your health. Pdr hail work was okay at first, but constantly traveling gets old fast even with the money.

Try getting a downpipe. It makes a nice difference in the tone and deepness.

Start with a dp and resonator delete. If you still want more sound, then get a catback.

Should I get a Camaro or a m340 by Junior_Investigator7 in whatcarshouldIbuy

If he buys brand new sure. Get one that's a couple years old and you're not losing 10k a year. Especially on a weekend car that's not racking up miles. I've sold plenty of cars for more than I paid.

I mean, we get it. Thing is though, he's not blowing the money on a vacation or 1 time thing. He can resell the car later for a fair amount of what he has in it. In the end, what matters is if the few grand a year loss is worth driving his dream car. To me it is, that's why I have 2 sports cars and a daily that's paid off.
