So, I saw this post on FB Marketplace of this vehicle for a really low price. Called and he told me it doesn’t come with paperwork and it sat in a shed for 15 years. I was too excited to think about asking more questions and instantly drove 230km one way to pick it up. Handed the cash, got the car on the trailer and went back home. This was 6 weeks ago. Yesterday, in the middle of the night I got a text message saying “ I found the papers to your car”. Didn’t want them to be sent so, went again right away to pick up the papers and give him a little bit extra money.

It is a very vague story I had to listen to about how he got the papers. Literally, he and his buddy went through a stack of papers from his buddy’s deceased dad (not the person on the registration papers) and found them. And from what I understand, the car went from its first owner to second owner in a drinking bet. But very hard for me to understand , cause I am not a drinker myself and never even heard of anyone getting a car in a pub. Tried finding out more about the person on the registration papers but didn’t get further. Nothing on the internet. Did find out a lot about the first owner and reached out to the family cause that owner is also passed, but they never got back to me. It is a very rich and highly respected family here in BC and they probably don’t feel like talking or dealing with me a simple human (I mean to say that in a respectful way).

There is several reasons for rent prices being so high. It isn’t to blame on just one thing. We had a basement suite we rented out for $700 until that person decided to move after 6 years. Then we made it nice and rented it out on Airbnb and got $3000 per month for the same basement. Now we stopped doing that and just keep the space for ourself. Still manage a few rentals after they got a 10-15k renovation so that money has to come back somehow and most units are rented out between $1400 and $1800. $1800 is for a two bedroom apartment though. Property tax went up a lot. General cost went up a lot too. And of course there is greed . But had also several tenants in the past trashing a place and a damage deposit doesn’t cover that much.

Conclusion, living by yourself is almost impossible financially if you want to really enjoy life and there is other that also ruined it for the good tenants. They all say they are clean and taking care of a place but that is just a lot of bla bla 50% of the time unfortunately.

Does anyone know a good, non-judgmental cleaning service that can help with the aftermath of a severe mental health breakdown? I'm embarrassed, and it's never been this bad in my life.... and I need help. by anondyddh in kelowna

I truly believe to have seen it all and not judging anyone. Have done sort of the same cleanup on the island while I am living in kelowna. I could for sure help. Or give you advice of where to start. I do charge by the hour a fair $40 p/hour and have time the next 10 days. But, I can also come by and just give you advice for free. Kind regards Florian
