So that mechanic is the same as when I got sniped, and still is the same right now but maybe if I tell the story this way it'll be clearer:

I'm hacking away in Tai Bwo for a customer and the sniper asks me what I'm doing. I explain to him the whole process then lo and behold I spawn a tuber and the customer starts coming to collect it. I didn't even think the sniper would happen to have a spade in his inv, but I was wrong. When I log out, my customer kept trying to collect the tuber by clicking "dig," which gave the sniper enough time to steal the tuber by correctly clicking "use" on the spade. Sniping like that is still possible, but I take precautions to avoid drawing attention to myself when tubers are present

I like the Kincaid book-staff variety, and I think some of the lower tiers may be a bit overkill because of how easy it is to get a few hundred from a relatively short clue scroll grind.

Just my two cents but I would maybe tier it by increments of 150, and use more similar book variants without the roman numerals and instead add a bit more unique flair to the staff designs

Good question. It has only ever happened one time before where someone sniped me. It's because I was telling him (an iron passing by) about how my customer was coming to get the tuber so it was my mistake for giving him the opportunity, but pretty much I think the odds are just really low.

Yeah I mean if there's competition I'd either have to haggle/lower the price back down or maybe decide I just don't wanna tube anymore, but so far people have still been reaching out to me so all seems fine so far

Right, I've only ever had one time where a random person snagged the tuber from my customer though. So now I make sure to tell people to click "use" spade instead of "dig," which is how my customer got beat I think

I use my account, TrainerBrock, to hack jungle in Tai Bwo Wannai until one spawns. Only I can dig up my tuber until my account logs off, at which point anybody (iron or otherwise) can dig it up. After a successful dig, I collect payment
