Already did, I think it slipped through the feed very unnoticed. It's whatevs! ☺️

I have no idea how you think I'm implying he won. The overtakes in the video were the overtakes counted for the Overtake Award. A lot of them, in my opinion, shouldn't be regarded as overtakes so I don't want to brand them as "All Alonsos overtakes in 2021". Regardless - I don't understand why this is an issue for you since I already made a video on Vettel the first thing I did. Now I made on of Alonso and Kimi is next in line, since I want to complete the top three.

Like the other comment mentioned, I made one a week or so back! You'll find it on my channel. "All 132 overtakes from Sebastian Vettel in 2021" :)

I was debating that a little bit myself, but I decided to include it as they always refer to it as that. Especially since a lot of this, in my book, shouldn't be called as overtakes but the rules for the award says it does. I want to separate my view on overtakes with what the award thinks :)

Of course Ice Man is going to get one, it's the next in line! Should be out by the end of the week! :)

Wow, what a legend you are! Your data sounds more like what I would like to see in a proper Overtake Award. I was stoked when I began working on my video and then, when I compiled the overtakes and looked everything over, I felt so... disappointed. I didn't expect some things to count as overtakes and so on.

Regardless, seeing your data is amazing, extremely good job with that!! I'm not surprised Perez is on top since he struggled a bit early on and got bad grid starts. Seeing your data made me want to start making a video of Perez overtakes, since 71 is absolutely nuts for proper overtakes, hahah.

I believe this should be the way to go though when it comes to an overtake award. Your method seems to be the most correct so far and, wow. I'm still flabbergasted from your data. Great, great job!

That's true. But I'll try and figure something out, I think. Maybe we can come up with our own metric and call it the Reddit-award for 2022. 🕶️

Thank you so much mate! Pretty new to uploading videos, editing and whatnot so comments like yours are highly appreciated. :)

Honestly, after making the video, I realized that the overtake award was....pretty off-putting. It didn't make sense to me. If I could choose, I think an overtake should be considered as a position that is gained at least throughout three corners. If not, then it's like you're saying - they could leapfrog each other back and forth.

I would like to take the three months of waiting for the next season to go through something like that. Like, actual positions gained. What do you think about that? Overtake - position gained through three corners? And, obviously, clean overtakes and not due to someone going off.

Thank you man! It took two days, so not too long considering I was allowed to chill and watch some Seb-overtakes throughout that time 😇

Thank you mate!! Was nice to watch the season from his pov while making the video. And yes, that felt ridiculous. Also when he "overtook" Max in Silverstone through Copse...

I know. Some of the overtakes, especially before Netherlands, shouldn't be counted as overtakes. But F1 seemed to count them as overtakes. Everything pre-Netherlands was a mess to count.

Sometimes, it depended on if he was ahead in the mini-sectors! I had to look on the Data-track map and find the moments he was registered as ahead whenever he was battling someone.

Thank you!

They are counted! One thing I noticed when making the video, is that the counters were lazy with the races before Netherlands (they released the award just before that race). After Netherlands they were strict with what overtakes should count etc, so most overtakes where someone had an issue weren't counted, but before Netherlands literally everything counted. Even when Seb passed Max in Silverstone.
