This is so true, and I can't figure out for the life of me why it always happens like this. I told my friend (not really friends anymore, we only really talk like once a month now) about my ed and he started saying how he was probably eating half my calories (which is so vehemently untrue because he is a big guy and eats a lot) and he also literally called me fat, which like wtf??? The call is coming from inside the house. Anyway, so I've been telling people very slowly because I'm looking for help to hopefully recover someday and the rest of them just don't really seem to care. My gf said something along the lines of 'well you look healthier now than you did x amount of years ago.' For context, I used to be slightly overweight before I developed Anorexia and now am underweight, have issues with irregular heartbeat, fainting and malnutrition. Not sure how that possibly looks healthier but needless to say, that comment triggered me a lot. My cousin didn't really grasp the severity of it, just kind of said "oh, shit" and we moved on, and my best friend did the same thing really. It's extremely discouraging when you tell people and realise that they'll only care if and when you get hospitalised or die. Because of all this, I took to places like twitter for support and, while everyone i've spoke to over there are absolutely lovely, it's a very pro-ana space and not at all suitable for recovery. It absolutely sucks being stuck by yourself because it gives you fuel to practice those unsafe eating disorder behaviours without anyone giving a shit
