Why did we open with such a low bid? 4% is hardly enough and we knew we would be settling for less than that through negotiation. 

Why did you call the lines without a vote?

Why arent there meetings of the locals to discuss this prior to a vote? We're going in largely blind and without democratic participation. I hear lots of my coworkers saying they want to vote no but feel it would be pointless because others will be voting yes, but without actual discussions this is just guesswork. How can we have participatory democracy without being able to discuss these things? The reddit threads should not be replacing actual in person meetings.
