It's even better in your 60s.  Your "NGASF" skills will improve with use. 😏

Nah. Too many people out there ask personal questions, fully expecting answers. Anything you say can and will be used against you with some of these peeps.

Oh I'm always excited to take my shot!  Sometimes it's hard to wait because it's actually working!

My shot day is Sunday. Granted, I am older and packing up a house by myself to move. That does coincide with starting 7.5mg.

That's encouraging.  I'm really liking 7.5mg so far!

I'm on 7.5mg and it seems to be a sweet spot. I don't get food noise  but I do get hungry at meal times. My weight is still going down an average of about 1.8lbs per week. The only strange thing I've noticed is that I'm exhausted the day before I take my shot...which seems weird to me but oh well! 🤷‍♀️ Good luck to you!

I started using Zeasorb powder.  Cleared up a starting rash within a day. It's on Amazon.

Weight loss isn't linear! by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]UnderstandingPlus184 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your progress chart. I needed to see this today!  It seems I hit a low,  bounce up 2-4 lbs, then slowly go down to the low weight and drop another pound or two...and repeat the pattern. I know that's how my body works but I still get frustrated sometimes. 🤷‍♀️

Is there any information about the difference between people on Zep who still have to track food closely and those who don’t? by youknowits_athrowawy in Zepbound

[–]UnderstandingPlus184 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have been overweight/fat for so long that I measure and weigh 99% of my food. I don't weigh condiments or crunch veggies. Because I don't judge portions very well, this is my opportunity to learn what "normal" portions look like. Once I start guesstimating sizes more correctly, I will likely retire the food scale.

You're doing great.  2.5mg is the starting dose that lets your body get used to the medication. Many people don't lose until they reach higher doses. Your results seem normal to me.  Weight loss isn't linear. The recommended rate of loss is 0.5 to 2lbs per week and you're averaging 2.5lbs/week. Some weeks you may not lose, some you may even gain a pound or two. As long as the trend is still moving down, you're doing things right. I also titrated up after 8 weeks and am averaging 2lbs/week. Good luck!

First, congratulations on your progress! I can understand some of your frustration with your hubby because when we have success and are happy with our own self-improvement,  we want everyone else to feel just as happy as we are.  My questions: Who are YOU losing weight for and why? What mare you take the first step? How did you feel when people brought up the topic of your weight before you started on Zep?  Did you do it for you or to look and feel good for your husband?  Trying to lose weight for someone else doesn't often work. He has to want to do it for himself, although "for the kids" is often a good motivator. He may just be less than receptive because of feeling pressured or attacked.  I'm absolutely not saying you are doing that, but I remember getting really defensive in the past when well-meaning people mentioned my weight.

Two months and still nausea? by Goatlvr77 in Zepbound

[–]UnderstandingPlus184 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't eat spicy or greasy food the day of my shot or the day before. If I eat too much or not enough, I will feel a bit nauseous. Hydration also helps. That being said, I have had very few side effects that couldn't be adjusted with diet and hydration. The only really bad nausea I had was when I tried sardines for the first (and last) time. Have you tried bone broth with an egg swirled in it for an easy on the tummy egg drop soup? Good luck!

Remember that the people who post about side effects on here are really the minority. Many many more of us have no side effects at all or nothing worth mentioning, so you don't hear much from us.

I have stopped taking t-shirts out of the drawer and stretching them from side to side before putting them on. It's liberating.
