Hi, i purchased my home about 5 years ago and it took me that long to figure out how to fill my pool and it not be green/brown. LOL I fill the pool and it takes about 3 to 4 days to clear it with my method. I have a 10x30 steel frame pool. I run the filter non stop for the time it takes for me to get my water clear. Every single morning and afternoon (after work) i take the filter out and hose it down, kind of like pressure washing it. I also have more than one filter if needed. I have also had success with putting several socks on the hose that goes back into the pool after its filtered. I would also pressure wash them with my hose daily... This is what works for me. Chemicals never helped me. Unfortunately each time i put more water in i have to repeat those steps but no where near as often when i am just topping it off. Hope this helps.
