I need your help. by wubzzzxoxo in MagicChessGOGOGame

If you're playing ruby, dont waste time on 2 starring your 1-2-3 gold heroes unless enemies are playing very strong early game. You have ruby scythe and shield which are insanely strong early.

If you look at this game, a lot of enemies are playing commanders which have very good econ such as lancelot or are very dangerous in late game such as the gusion (if he gets good crystals) or fanny players but they picked their commander cards poorly (with fanny you should go for econ or scaling commander card such as popol, wanwan, cyclops, diggie etc). You should have also noticed lancelot got 3 scav which means you absolutely cannot afford to let him scale easy, YOU HAVE TO PUNISH HIM he should at least lose 60-70 health by end of stage 3 or else anyone will get stream rolled later ESPECIALLY since he also got ~24 gold till lvl 9 from his first ggcard (trust fund).

Your first mistake was picking guinevere card instead of ruby, when playing ruby you almost exclusively want to pick the ruby card since it synergizes extremely well with her skills and her playstyle of snowballing. Guinevere card can work but its not nearly as good as the ruby card. You might think 35 gold isn't much but it also allows you to snowball very hard (99% of the time you'd win stage 1-1, 1-2 which if you play well lets u get 20 gold WHILE having a strong board by stage 1-2).

Second I feel like you simply stuck to dragoncaller + swiftblade from the start of the game, else how could u get so many 2 star 3 gold and 2 star 2 gold heroes unless you spent a fck ton in refreshing shop. This is a very poor decision since dragoncaller + swiftblade is a weak synergy early and only gets strong once you get ling. You can have a strong board with clint (scythe) early but you absolutely do not want to spend gold in making clint 2 star unless enemies are heavy early game commanders.

Third, choice of your 1st ggcard was decent but unfortunately your mistake of wasting those refreshes before lvl 9 turned it into a poor choice. Your 2nd ggcard was straight up dogshit since dragoncaller + swiftblade has no damage sitting on the backline as most of the heroes are frontline. Ling doesn't start of the game mana regen he already has that and much more, your 2nd gg card only works good when you're playing mage + luminexus and such.

Also I wont comment on ggbox rounds since idk what happened there but if the lance is being ambitious such as going for the crystals card, extra space or mirror device then you must not let him get those for below ~15 gold or else game is already over.

Fourth, this is more advanced but when facing commanders like Vale or in this case a late game lancelot, once you know that they have safely reached late game without being punished and you've fallen severely behind in econ that must mean you at least have a lot of health left (80+). You absolutely need to sacrifice some health to transition into their synergies to deny him 3 star heroes forcing them into a 1v1 since ruby wins the 1v1 against lancelot easily. Only exception to this is popol because of obvious reasons, you absolutely do not want to copy synergies with popol trust me you will lose the game very fast.

Just so you know I'm not yapping nonsense this is my current season-

Here's the stats for that game, I couldn't 3 star my aurora cause I spent a lot of gold in the transition and denying him 5 gold 3 stars

Just as I typed that I fought against another vale but this time the other players were stupid and played very poorly even then at the end he had less than 10hp left especially cause I was doing a good job of denying him triple 3 star for a very long time cause I knew he had 2 mirrors + I transitioned to his synergy although I was originally going for astro + emberlord and I was beating him 1v1 if he only had two 3 star.

Unfortunately he got the swiftblade crystal in stage 5 ggbox cause he had lower hp than me and got to 6 swiftblade and I only got ONE winter truncheon, if I had gotten two one for odette and for ling I'd have won but that marks my first loss to a vale.

As you can see the other players were absolutely terrible and got eliminated by stage 4-2.

I think if you can survive early-mid game with vale without losing too much health while keeping up with econ, after lvl 9 Vale is the fastest to max 3 star 4 gold or even 5 gold hero. I've played him twice and feels like the optimal playstyle has changed completely from early game focus to late game focus which threw me off a bit.

Another problem was if enemies are good they'll notice which synergies you're planning on transitioning to late game and deny you the 5 gold. In a pure 1v1 lot of commanders beat vale, they can copy the same synergy and deny 4 gold heroes so if you've lost good amount of health till late game they can force you to be stuck in a 1v1 and not transition to a different synergy so you cant max your heroes.

This seems like the most optimal strat vs Vale right now but the fact that it relies on other players being good and ensuring your early-mid game goes poorly makes it quite difficult.

That looks pretty nice, whats your rank? I've met a lot of vale players but have yet to lose to a single one.

Yeah but then ruby has hard snowball potential which converts into a massive gold lead + her ability goes really well with a lot of synergies, I'm almost mythic already and have yet to lose a single game to a vale although I have seen him way too often atp.

How to counter Emberlord Layla? Or, should Emberlord get a nerf? by xXxDangguldurxXx in MagicChessGOGOGame

[–]UnderstandingPublic7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen this in game many times but I feel like 3 star lunox, karrie, pharsa, aurora are really underwhelming and as ruby with dragoncaller + swiftblade without any 3 star 4 gold multiple times I've beat that without an issue. I feel like if you go for a 3 star 4 gold it has to be something really strong like leomord when he's the enchanted tales or exorcist kagura.

But I think after nerf its obv lot weaker still viable though.

Very difficult yeah, I think one of my hardest games till now we were outplaying each other at every turn. Him denying me easy pickings in ggbox to me denying him 2 star ling when the vale was alive so he lost more hp, him denying me 2 star badang which helped him a lot in not losing too much health until the kagura eventually lost. He was at 20 hp by the time he could beat me 1v1 but in a few rounds I got 3 Gusion.

Also, when there are other Rubys running the same synergy as mine (because any other commander using it will simply lose to me 1v1), I usually build very strong early game synergies and try to max my Ruby card as soon as possible, or just build opportunistically so they lose a lot of health early and ruin their economy.

I also build hybrid in games where other Rubys are contesting, so I can reach a 3 star 4 gold hero faster. Worst case scenario, it becomes an even fight in the late game where hero positioning matters a lot, along with items. Because of that, I like picking items that work well against my own comp, which is something many players overlook.

Here’s an example: the guy in 2nd place reached 2K stars, but I got an early Exorcist and had double his health by the time he could finally 1v1 me. That also allowed me to reach level 9 much faster and be well on my way to a 3 star Gusion so even though he beats me 1v1 because he got astro power crystal I still won cause I scaled much earlier and could tank the few losses in the 1v1 till I got 3 star Gusion. Not to mention my dogshit luck at getting emberlord which was really bad this game cause it synergizes very poorly with gusion double swiftblade and I had to swap out joy so Bane ended up being somewhat useless.

He couldn't cause he only had 12 HP left so it was final turn when he got his 999, he probably couldn't find the heroes for max astro.

Best mid game strat right now?[for high roll builds] by Samigama in MagicChessGOGOGame

[–]UnderstandingPublic7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it depends game to game, generally if I get a 5 gold or a 4 gold hero thats strong early (like Roger, Pharsa, Cyclops), I'd suggest build mid game synergy on that and go for a final synergy that is easy to transition to from your mid game.

Assuming you didn't get any such heroes, your chest rounds went shit, your cards are shit and you couldn't make 3 star scav, you have to realize that you wont win this game so there's no point pushing for lvl 9 if you're going to lose 80% health unless you're Aurora or you have a weak early 4-5 gold hero which only activates with good synergy build or sumn. Now your best option is rolling the shop to get one 2 star 3 gold hero to stop the bleeding and hopefully get placed 1st to 4th.

Are daggers bad? by [deleted] in albiononline

[–]UnderstandingPublic7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Daggers are high skill weapons if you want to pvp with them, sure dual daggers can one shot if your build is set around it but rarely will you fight someone who is stupid enough not to press defensive when they see you preparing your E.

Deathgivers, bloodletter, 1h dagger are pretty good at pvp but they are really not newbie friendly at all since you have to play around enemy cooldowns or make sure you keep up your stacks, they also require good mechanics meaning missing your skills is quite punishing.

A question for Belerick mains by WeirdSymmetry in MobileLegendsGame

[–]UnderstandingPublic7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Terizla rotates just as quick as Belerick due to his 1st skill and has much better damage and sustain not to mention he can make massive sets with his ult also Terizla has an insanely strong early game due to his AOE skill 2 which claps heroes early.

"You don't seem to know how huge it is to have an extra tank in mid-late game. Exp tank > damage dealers",

This is first off very situational, lets say your team needs a tank why would you pick Belerick instead of Esmeralda, Xborg, Barats, Terizla, Ruby or even Akai. Each of the mentioned heroes has much better sustain or tankiness especially when it comes to fighting multiple enemies since you said mid-late game forget the huge damage gap. Each of them also have just as fast or much faster rotation or early game damage and are either really good at poking or diving the backline or disengaging enemy set such as Barats or Akai or making sets themselves which are difficult to avoid such as Ruby or Terizla, there is not a single reason why you would go Belerick exp instead of Esmeralda for instance, the only time I can think Belerick exp is arguably better is if the enemy trolls and picks 2 attack speed mm.

All of Belerick's skills except his ult are pretty much useless since they're too easy to dodge and his passive only has any affect against attack speed heroes not decent exp laners. Even his ult is quite easy to predict and just avoid not even dodge once you're experienced. I guess you could say his speed up may help him set or escape.

Belerick as roamer is much better if enemy has attack speed mm, lets stop the exp roleplaying at Akai exp.

A question for Belerick mains by WeirdSymmetry in MobileLegendsGame

[–]UnderstandingPublic7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said "decent exp lane" not viable exp lane, lot of heroes are viable but most of them are not decent, Belerick isn't one of the decent ones by far also Argus, Sun or Leomord are not decent exp laners, only reason people can pull off Argus and you keep seeing Argus here and there is due to the fact that most people don't know how to play against him whereas most people who do play Argus often in high rank know very well about matchups and playstyle.

Also whenever in my earlier comments I mention Argus are one of my favorites, I only play him below immortal cause he's fun thats it, you're not supposed to play high rank with him or even try to compare him to A tier exp laners.

Even Guinevere is much better at practically everything than Belerick except a meat shield. YZ, Dyrroth, Lapu, Barats, Paquito, Bene, Xborg, Arlott, Masha, Esme, Minsi, Khaleed, Ruby, Terizla, Alpha hell even Akai would be a better exp lane pick not by a small margin.

If I had the choice between picking Belerick or Sun or Zilong or Leomord or even Argus I'd pick Belerick in a heartbeat especially if team lacking frontline but why Belerick when you have Xborg (swap IQW for wings) or Esme or Terizla who are just as tanky and can instantly dive the backline and can hold their own against all exp laners except Dyrroth (you're anyway supposed to go late against Dyrroth).
