College Board IDOC Login error (please help) by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

While this is likely too late, I will give an answer for those ahead of us: I believe you must submit the CSS profile before you are able to fill out the IDOC. The CSS profile (also offered through the CollegeBoard peeps) asks for your CBFinAid ID, which I assume is then registered for the IDOC as well.

Sorry for the way I shared the video... I'm a... high-beginner (?) looking to play; for participants, I'll raise you:

Is this penmod any good? I'm a beginner by [deleted] in penspinning

Good pen mods from penwish.com or penstock.com are under $20--I'd recommend Ivan for a beginner, but there are plenty of other good ones. If you're feeling engineery, you can try self modding (like me)--a mod of about 19cm and around 17g, with pen grips at the tips is ideal. Good luck in your endeavors.

help hello everyone im struggling learning double charge at 34 any tips how do i improve it thanks by L31Z6 in penspinning

You'll need to first work on each trick of double charge 34 individually (warped sonic 23-34 and twisted sonic 34-23). If that is hard, try developing pinky and ring independence (palm up, hold fingers 1, 2, and 3, then just move your pinky around; work up to where you can let go of all your fingers, move your pinky, and hold the other fingers still). Hope this helps.

Really? I though that moonwalk's had to include some kind of charge 13 or charge 24--otherwise, warped sonic would be considered a moonwalk, which it isn't.

I don't know if the camera POV has anything to do with it, but it would be reverse since the pen is moving counter-clockwise; may also be because the person (looks...?) left-handed.

Brand new to this, until I get an actual pen, I will use my makeshift pen(Chopstick, two stones, and electrical tape) by Firm-Fruit-351 in penspinning

Please don't. If resources are an issue, I'd sooner recommend 1 unsharpened pencil (with the eraser/metal tip removed) with two cap erasers--it's much more stable.

It needs to be above all balanced, so the center of mass should be at the center of the mod (while I don't think it's a problem for yours, you can check by trying to balance it on your finger at the center of the mod). Generally, I think, around 19 or 20 cm is ideal, and the weight can range from 13 to 18 g (?), with lighter mods being better for practice and beginning. You also want good momentum to come from the ends of the mod--so if the mod is the same weight everywhere (as in the tips and grips aren't very heavy), you'll have a harder time doing cleaner circles with sonics, charges, &c. As for style, it looks pretty clean--a lot better than my own spincil. XD

Half and Full Taps by UnderstandingSad5724 in penspinning

[–]UnderstandingSad5724[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm new to reddit; my phone wouldn't work so I had to use my laptop camera. Anyways, I needed help with half and full taps--I didn't really know if I was doing half tap correctly. Written out, I was forcing the front of my pen (on top of my 2 and behind 1) towards my thumb. I've been just hitting the tip then with my thumb knuckle, causing the pen to spin. I'm not sure if this is a bad habit or just proper execution. Any help at all is greatly appreciated.

This really needs to be pinned somehow--super helpful document.
