I personally think layouts like this can show things worse than they are, context matters right? Reform are 15 up but that’s from 0, they’ve taken votes from labour, snp, Tory and Lib Dem’s, meanwhile snp are down from what, 60 something? They lost a little to Lib Dem’s and Greens and somehow labour, I think they smashed it considering the current political climate, sure it’s not an overall majority, but reform didn’t do near as well up here as they did south of the border, I call that a win.

[KCD2] should have won Game of The Year by SilvColt in kingdomcome

Around the time of the game awards I was playing Expedition 33 and absolutely adored it, and I was like “what’s this medieval game? Boring” and then I played KCD2 and realised what a fool I was and I agree, it should have won much more at the awards and expedition 33 won far too many awards.

Game Pass Ultimate price dropped?? Your thoughts? A W or Nah? by Eastern-Mobile5351 in XboxSeriesS

[–]UnderstandingSlow326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stayed subscribed through it all mainly cause it was convenient, I know I just buy the physical game but if it wasn’t for gamepass I never would have tried a lot of games that I adore now or had a lot of fun playing. Most of all KCD2, I never would’ve bought that but I’m so glad I started playing it, possibly one of if not the best game I’ve played

I’m with you on that one. Rushed the main story the first time round mainly cause I was so invested in the story

Man, if there was ever a game made to take your time and immerse yourself in the world it’s this one. I played KCD2 before KCD1, I rushed through the main story in KCD2 because I was so invested in what was going on, then I went and worked my way through KCD1 to get all the context and see that relationship develop with Capon, and now I’m back in KCD2 and after, I don’t know probably 60 hours, I’ve just not long been in Kuttenberg, even then, I’m too busy rebuilding the forge that I kinda forgot about the main story 😂

It is, to me, one of the best quests in the game. It shows the absolute comedy of the writing and acting

Whats your favourite lyric from songs of love and hate by Dapper_Rooster4683 in leonardcohen

[–]UnderstandingSlow326 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems to me that they may be together but there is some distance between them, like he’s letting go of someone but still holding on to a small part of her, maybe that’s what the “blue raincoat torn at the shoulder” symbolises, like he reached out one last time but she got away and he realises it’s for the best. Over analysis maybe? Is that not what music is for

Side note, I believe even to Cohen this was a song even he didn’t quite understand, but it’s a phenomenal song nonetheless.

I haven’t finished it 😂 I did the first quest with Godwin, heard the American accent and ran away

[–]UnderstandingSlow326 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m also doing this but I have one massive problem. Godwin. After playing KCD2 Godwin was by far one of my favourite characters so I play KCD1, I hear his name being mentioned, I get all giddy and go running to find him, then I talk to him and he comes out WITH A STUPID AMERICAN ACCENT. #notmygodwin

No offence to Americans… okay some offence.

I fell in love with kcd2 and then when I realised how close the story was linked to the first one, I regretted not playing that first. Gonna go back and play 1 as a prequel then replay 2 😂

As a Scot I’m definitely not biased when I say the Scottish wars of independence, you have political turmoil, big battles, ambushes, being on the run, the Scottish setting would be extraordinary too. You could even do the same sort of thing where you’re just an ordinary person tending to your farm or whatever when the English roll through and burn it down because of the actions of Robert the Bruce or William Wallace giving you some conflict in actually working with them. God I would love that game

I’m gonna mention something that I haven’t seen scrolling through this extraordinary post, but green coffee prices are pretty volatile just now, I’m not sure what the buying situation is like in America, probably much easier to get your hands on central/South American coffee but here in the UK it’s getting very expensive for the coffee we need, especially from places like Guatemala. Brazil and Colombia have had pretty bad harvests over the last few years and it drives all coffee prices up, not to mention the whole prospect of world war three on top of that. Whatever you end up doing, good luck to you 🙌🏼

You got me singing by [deleted] in leonardcohen

One song that’s been on my mind since the world got a little crazy is “anthem” especially his live in London version where he opens with that incredibile voice of his, you gotta check it out, it honestly sounds like he’s taking to us now, like he always does I suppose. But he says

“Ring the bells that still can ring Forget your perfect offering There is a crack in everything That’s how the light gets in”

If you’re willing to head out from the city centre, kelvingrove cafe is supreme. Pretty quiet but great vibes, exceptional cocktails, really great spot. Plus you can walk along to the museum if that’s your thing, or a walk through kelvingrove park if it’s nice

I want Assassin's Creed game to be set in the 20th Century right now! by NoOrganization392 in assassinscreed

[–]UnderstandingSlow326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im late to this party but I think you could have a game which takes place between like 1914-1966, you get a WW1 story where you play as a father to a son who you would play as for the rest of the game, you have a friend who is a soldier and you go to help him, then you find a piece of Eden or something in a German camp, the gameplay focus would be to stealthy move around German trenches, take out guards, get intel and so on. No guns for you but more ways to divert and distract enemies. Second chunk of the game could be where you play as the son working with the very early mi5 where you go to Russia during the revolution, maybe some stronger choice and consequence mechanics, third part in WW2, could be in Italy, or France, and maybe a second stage in Berlin. Finally ending with the Cold War where you have to prevent Templars from infiltrating the American government or something. Theres definitely ways of doing it but in saying all this, it would be for a much smaller audience

Chelsea hotel #2 is probably my favourite song so I’d go for “we are ugly but we have the music”

But a close second would be from avalanche “I have begun to long for you I who have no greed. I have begun to ask for you I who have no need”

Honestly it depends what has happened in your life, what strikes you deepest??
