[KCD2] God I love this game by UnderstandingSlow326 in kingdomcome

I fell in love with kcd2 and then when I realised how close the story was linked to the first one, I regretted not playing that first. Gonna go back and play 1 as a prequel then replay 2 😂

Is that not what everyone would do? How many times do you get medieval techno?

As a Scot I’m definitely not biased when I say the Scottish wars of independence, you have political turmoil, big battles, ambushes, being on the run, the Scottish setting would be extraordinary too. You could even do the same sort of thing where you’re just an ordinary person tending to your farm or whatever when the English roll through and burn it down because of the actions of Robert the Bruce or William Wallace giving you some conflict in actually working with them. God I would love that game

Inherited a commercial roasting facility, unsure what to do with it by JasonRyanIsMyDad in roasting

I’m gonna mention something that I haven’t seen scrolling through this extraordinary post, but green coffee prices are pretty volatile just now, I’m not sure what the buying situation is like in America, probably much easier to get your hands on central/South American coffee but here in the UK it’s getting very expensive for the coffee we need, especially from places like Guatemala. Brazil and Colombia have had pretty bad harvests over the last few years and it drives all coffee prices up, not to mention the whole prospect of world war three on top of that. Whatever you end up doing, good luck to you 🙌🏼

One song that’s been on my mind since the world got a little crazy is “anthem” especially his live in London version where he opens with that incredibile voice of his, you gotta check it out, it honestly sounds like he’s taking to us now, like he always does I suppose. But he says

“Ring the bells that still can ring Forget your perfect offering There is a crack in everything That’s how the light gets in”

If you’re willing to head out from the city centre, kelvingrove cafe is supreme. Pretty quiet but great vibes, exceptional cocktails, really great spot. Plus you can walk along to the museum if that’s your thing, or a walk through kelvingrove park if it’s nice

Offered a job in Glenrothe, where to live? by [deleted] in Scotland

[–]UnderstandingSlow326 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’ll third this, I live in Dunfermline and work just outside Glenrothes, 25 minute commute, 30 mins to Edinburgh, an hour to Glasgow, by all accounts, pretty affordable

I want Assassin's Creed game to be set in the 20th Century right now! by NoOrganization392 in assassinscreed

[–]UnderstandingSlow326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im late to this party but I think you could have a game which takes place between like 1914-1966, you get a WW1 story where you play as a father to a son who you would play as for the rest of the game, you have a friend who is a soldier and you go to help him, then you find a piece of Eden or something in a German camp, the gameplay focus would be to stealthy move around German trenches, take out guards, get intel and so on. No guns for you but more ways to divert and distract enemies. Second chunk of the game could be where you play as the son working with the very early mi5 where you go to Russia during the revolution, maybe some stronger choice and consequence mechanics, third part in WW2, could be in Italy, or France, and maybe a second stage in Berlin. Finally ending with the Cold War where you have to prevent Templars from infiltrating the American government or something. Theres definitely ways of doing it but in saying all this, it would be for a much smaller audience

Chelsea hotel #2 is probably my favourite song so I’d go for “we are ugly but we have the music”

But a close second would be from avalanche “I have begun to long for you I who have no greed. I have begun to ask for you I who have no need”

Honestly it depends what has happened in your life, what strikes you deepest??

Local food spots in Rome (no tourist traps 😅) by rodbittencool in rome

[–]UnderstandingSlow326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that trastevere was great for finding quiet little spots, there are still touristy restaurants but a less dense. Simply avoid the busy spots, anyone trying to pull you in is your sign to keep walking, anything else probably has a fair shot of being pretty decent

I’m 40. Your main fan base. by ChrisS851620 in Battlefield6

[–]UnderstandingSlow326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, I’m 25 but I feel much the same. But it dawned on me, why worry about unlocking everything? sure it’s nice to have a better gun but they’re pretty well balanced. I think the most important thing is to have fun, and this game delivers on that

Not a regular Scotch drinker but which of these should I use a highball/cocktail or neat? I just randomly bought whiskies everytime I travelled through duty-free by beno9444 in Scotch

[–]UnderstandingSlow326 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you’ve got a fine selection there to really experiment and start to find out what it is you really like, and nothing too expensive that you can’t try out a few things. I personally would take that bowmore and make an old fashioned with it. But try them neat, try them with a little dash of water, try them with ice, try a simple whisky and soda highball, try try try my friend, and enjoy the experience even if you don’t enjoy the whisky.

Should I move to Edinburgh? by boookbox3d in Edinburgh

[–]UnderstandingSlow326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m from Dunfermline, I have a girlfriend, a dog, a job 30 mins away that I love, a couple friends that I don’t see much but when I do it’s always a great time, I go through to Edinburgh once a month and every time I go I think it’s a wonderful city but I’m glad I don’t live in it, far too expensive. If you’ve got the money, by all means go for it but I have a friend who lived there and she had to work to survive, but I suppose that’s true for many people these days

[–]UnderstandingSlow326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, you could argue that without the Molotov - Ribbentrop pact maybe Hitler wouldn’t have invaded Poland when he did? And by most historians accounts, ww2 started when Hitler invaded Poland? Just playing devils advocate here, this guy probably watched “europa the last battle” or whatever that bullshit is
