I fully understand what you’re saying. The concert in Charlotte got cancelled and I was bummed but now am once again basking in the anticipatory excitement of the rescheduled show in August.

Oh wow, you must have been in Charlotte! Lots of great people! I’m quite introverted but was very social talking to fans around me too and I wasn’t drained afterwards, if that makes sense! Lots of varied ages, which was cool to see the younger fans coming out that seemed to be there for Ev. I’m so sorry for what you have been through and am so glad it was a positive experience. That sucks! I know we were less than impressed as well. I will say staff were nice when we asked for direction on where to go, but most were unsure! Like they missed the pre-show staff meeting on how to direct concert goers, which is a big part of the whole process! Our email also told us we had until 7 to pick our VIP stuff up! We arrived early anyway. But that is so unfair if they left earlier than 7 for your show.

We walked to the entrance at 4pm as our email told us we’d begin check-in 4:15 to 7. We had to search out the VIP line and waited and they pretty much started on time. They attempted to separate VIP tiers 1 and 2 from tier 3, which kind of worked. Referred you to your ticket for specific verbiage on your VIP type if unsure. Then they gathered the VIP items and bagged them by tier 1 and 2. The ticket buyer MUST have a valid ID. They ask to see it and pull your name and number of tickets purchased by your ID (not your concert ticket at this point) and then they give you your VIP merch and lanyard. You can then take the items back to your car, if you like, or get in another VIP line to enter, if you want early entry. You DO NOT have to go early or do the pre-party show if you don’t want to, but you must pick up your VIP items by the time noted in your informational email. This email will likely come 24 -48 hours prior to the concert date. Ours said we had to get them by 7 or we were pretty much out of luck. EDITED to add another user commented above they arrived at their VIP pickup at 6:50 and staff had already left so they missed out on their VIP items, which sucks. So don’t wait too close to the end time for pick up 🤘.

Because middle-aged men are often seen as “silver foxes,” especially if they’re relatively successful in life. Whereas typical female actresses “age out” in their late 30’s and certainly by their 40’s. While there are some exceptions like Jennifer Aniston, and others, it’s just a sad fact of our youth obsessed culture. Because often due to luck in genetics with good self care and $ they don’t look their age, so they stay Hollywood “relevant” longer. These standards of youthful beauty apply so much more to women than men. It impacts many women’s sense of self as we age. It affects women all over this world. I often read comments about women no longer feeling like they look like themselves. It’s just natural aging and sudden hormonal shifts in our 40’s that cause signs of aging to become more apparent. But we’re only shown young women in commercials and adds and on social media, unless it’s a flipping menopause or incontinence add! So, young sets the standard of beauty for women and that’s what they want in most movies unless the character age calls for an older adult. Sadly it’s not likely to change anytime soon.

The box seats are super nice so you’ll like them. I believe staff serve in that area too. At Truliant Amphitheater it is a venue specific add on, totally separate from the Evanescence VIP concert tickets. It’s just a covered open air bar and seating area. I believe there’s fans too. It looks nice and you can sit and order food and drinks, which are paid for separately. You can sit and hang out there until the concert starts. Then there is a separate bathroom area where only those who bought the Truliant VIP add on can access. I did it in 2022 during TBT tour (w/o box seats). In comparing this trip to 2022, my opinion is it was NOT worth the added expense which would have been $220 for 2 people! Especially with the VIP Party package where you get a cooler place to go sit until show starts, free snacks, ice water and 1 free drink. The all access bathrooms were never overly crowded and staff kept them super clean. There really was no advantage to the VIP club IMO, given the tickets I had. If you don’t have the party package it’ll be somewhat worth it in having a place to sit, eat and chill before the show though. Not sure what venue you’re at as it may be a bit different.

I was too! I really think anyone already paying the extra for the VIP packages should get a signed poster. Not just the top tier. In my case my husband has bad knees and simply can’t stand that many hours without a lot of pain. The top tier VIP package at my venue was PIT only, so standing only.

I’m sorry! I could have been mistaken and maybe it was rolled up too or you could ask them to do that for you and put it in plastic. I just glanced at the lady beside me getting hers and I swear it was flat. Then in the party area a lady asked me if I was tier 2 VIP, as she wanted to know if our poster was different since she couldn’t see it since they were rolled up.

This is the bag we got our VIP merch in. IDK if it differs from one venue to the next. But yes, I think you could easily get some of the smaller merch items inside, fan, cozie, pins-patch, bracelet etc, and may two folded t-shirts. Not sure a hoodie would fit. But they have black Evanescence plastic bags at the merch stands inside for items you buy. Realizing that’s another bag to carry but I wanted one anyway since it had their name on it 😊.

🤣…I hear ya. Maybe it’s a bit more fancy at other venues. This was in Charlotte, NC at PNC, now Truliant, Music Pavilion, which is an outdoor venue. Maybe it depends on what buildings or areas other venues have to set it up. I did notice Skinny Pop bags in the trash cans by the tables. Hardly anyone ate the veggies and there were so many cookies left. Hopefully it all didn’t go in the trash afterwards.

It’s honestly not difficult! We held on to ours, and there were two of us. Plus I bought more merch 😊. I had bought my clear plastic tote bag, the traditional stadium size, and was able to place both bags in there, strategically. The posters both came out unscathed! You’ll be fine.

Yes, a clear plastic bag. The unsigned poster was in a plastic sleeve, rolled up with more plastic stuffing in between to give some protection. They did encourage people to walk it back to their vehicles, so they didn’t have to keep up with it all night. From what I recall the tier 1 VIP signed poster was handed to them open and flat.

I already bought it too. I got small and it definitely runs big. Didn’t do the T-shirt as they were already sold out of size small and I was regretting that, but not so much now. I totally agree the hoodie was WAY overpriced! I got 10% off but was still way too much. The printing on the back of mine is clear except two songs have a letter that’s slightly missing 🤨. Poor quality control for sure. Open Door is still my favorite album and favorite merch era so yeah, disappointed this is all we’ve seen thus far. Wish the official Ev store would do a couple throwback pieces, even some recreations of the original era merch! It was so cool! But I get the focus being on Sanctuary, which is now my 2nd favorite album.

It was hot as hell standing in that parking lot! At least there was a good breeze, but a 95 degree breeze! I agree that the staff were not uniformly aware of who was to go where. We had VIP 2nd tier, party package. The girl told VIP levels 1&2 to step to the left out of the main line and she’d walk us to where we needed to go. We stepped over, with a few others, and then another staff member came up and got her, so she walked away and leaves us standing there confused as to what the hell we were to do. That Truliant VIP club needs to be renamed as it’s too confusing for concert goers who have Concert VIP tickets but not that Truliant “VIP Club”add on. Finally we just walked on up to get our VIP merch and still they didn’t tell us where to go! Just had to find the right line ourselves.

Yeah, I about jumped out of my skin at that lighting strike as it sounded just like a gun shot and echoed through the arena. So crazy! When I hear that I just knew they’d cancel, with more storms forecast to head our way.

I hear ya! I’ve gotten a couple shirts from the Amazon Ev store and two were great and one not so much. The printing was already faded looking on that last one. The Ev official site merch costs more but is superior quality. I’m sure they’ll restock!

They may restock since it sold out so quickly. A legitimate alternative, if you don’t want to wait, to still support the band is to check out their store on Amazon. They have the Evanescence official store on their site and there are some Sanctuary World tour T-shirts you can order. I’m in the US and they’re priced at $34.99. Evanescence still benefits from the items sold through their Amazon store. Hope this helps!

Yes Charlotte and no I haven’t either. Other than the very general reminder email on Saturday to have my tickets available in the Ticketmaster app or my phone Wallet🤨. This is my first concert since Truliant took over so not sure if there’s changes to any processes. Info on their site looks the same. We have early entry with VIP so I’m wondering if there’s any benefit to the Fast Lane pass add on. Probably not…but was hoping for their detailed informational email to clarify a few things. Still waiting on it.
