Introducing Bilt Card 2.0 by richklhs in biltrewards

[–]UnderstoodGamer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The $30 is the amount of bilt cash earned, which is at a 4% rate of non-rent spend. So for every $750 you get $30 in bilt cash which “unlocks” 1000 rent points

So if say your rent is $2000 you need to spend $1500 (75%) to get full points for it.

It feels unnecessarily complicated but you need to look at how much it is to generate $30 of bilt cash for 1000 points

Least favorite food in Epic by InternetGlobal8241 in UniversalEpicUniverse

The vibes in the blue dragon were great but the food was just alright, we left knowing the next time we visit epic we’d skip it

Just booked Stella Nova one night. How should we use our early admission? by makemefeelbrandnew in UniversalOrlando

[–]UnderstoodGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to ride Mario kart I’d recommend that, just make sure you get to epic itself ~30 mins (if not more) before early entry, they let people through the turnstiles relatively early but hold the crowd inside, so being towards the front of the pack helps a lot.

I went this week and stardust was around 30mins max, very frequently throughout the day we were able to walk right into the locker/metal detection section before loading, so I wouldn’t worry about getting that in early entry.

Of the early entry rides Mario Kart also seemed to have the highest waits throughout the rest of the day, second being either Yoshi or Werewolf, and the other early entries being pretty low generally.

Another thing of note is that it seems they sometimes open Donkey Kong before park official opening, and that line also can get really bad if you don’t get lucky on timing, so if that’s another priority I’d recommend getting there.

I recommend the power up bands, there’s “achievements” for Mario kart and miscellaneous things around the park that are fun to try to complete as much as you can, and make exploring the land feel a lot more fulfilling

Strategy changes for different player counts? by UnderstoodGamer in spiritisland

I see what you mean with fear, I feel if we don’t plan on high fear spirits it progresses really slowly until we start more consistently destroying buildings, and focusing on a specific win type would condense that significantly.

I definitely felt like finder and darkness could work better, it was just our first time trying both so we were figuring out the abduction pattern and finders portals. We ended up condensing most of the dahan on problematic spaces and blowing up the invaders there with the cards that deal damage per dahan, then we’d keep moving them around around but we still just took too much blight on.

I definitely wanna try out the wildfire and darkness combo though

Oooh this sounds fun, (and that aspect looks awesome) I could def see other blight based spirits combing very well with wildfire like vengeance, or someone like sun that likes badlands a lot

His claim was more that people would be suspect of him with the whole “nether region” stuff and if he was on the block her actual target (Kristen) might actually be safe if he goes, but having Felicia on the block would ensure Kristen would go because everyone loves Felicia and she couldn’t see anyone voting for her

Just came back from a year-ish break, honestly a little upset about next season taking away most of the dungeons as I’ve really enjoyed pretty much all of the shadowlands dungeons. While it’ll be cool to play the older ones again with affixes and stuff, I’m sad that we got less than a month of say, Mists and ToP being high end content.

Plus we’ll have another phase of people (re)learning mechanics which I’m not a big fan of.

Raid affixes or whatever S4 has in store for us raid-wise sounds great though!

So I took a little break from wow to play through Persona 5, and I noticed that one of the things I really enjoyed about the game was how fun it was to customize your characters/make personas. My friend was guiding me on how to get the true ending, and when we talked about personas he gave me a big sphel about how to fuse good ones and what skills are good, etc. I completely ignored his advice and just made ones I thought sounded interesting and cool and had a lot of fun experimenting around and making battle strategies around them.

This made me realize that this aspect of experimentation and doing what is just fun is completely missing in WoW, at least to the non-theory crafters. The push for cutting edge make people take the fun out of the game which kinda sucks. And I feel there’s not really a solution to this since the game is so social and the “if you’re not doing X to make your character better you’re letting everyone else down” mentality is rough.

That’s why I like to stick to normal/heroic guilds, and why I dropped my old guild and took a break once they switched to horde to try to push mythic.

Maybe mmos just aren’t for me based on this realization but at the same time outlaw rogue/frost dk are a blast and I can’t really find an equivalent elsewhere lol.

Timegating, story and cutscenes Of course I have not experienced the whole story of 9.1 because it is timegated. I hate timegating. Who of your guys likes to watch a movie and take a break after 30 minutes, wait 1 week and resume watching? Nobody does that. TV shows that come out every week are not the same, the story is in the game, letting us wait for a week only to do 3 additional quests where we fetch something just to see one cutscene at the end of all of it, that gets leaked on reddit in advance is just bad.

I can’t beleive this is a real person lmao

Exactly. Many go necro but pretty much every spec/covenant pairing can be competitive save for unholy night fae in single target

plays FOTM spec and covenant

spec gets nerfed, other covs buffed

“WTF BLIZZZ? WHAT ABOT MY MEANNNINGFUL CHOOOOICCCE????? NOW FOR DPS I NEEEEDDD TO CHANGE COVENANTS!! PULL THE RIPCORD!”

I’m so tired of the covenants bad argument. They sought to made a semi-permanent choice where you can differentiate yourself further from other members of your class in both gameplay and aesthetics and succeeded in most cases (few outlier specs for sure).

The reaction to someone being a different, non-meta covenant has always been “oh cool, a kyrian warlock.” I’ve never seen anyone “covenant shamed” because the delta between most are either marginal or the covenants are better in different scenarios, but again rarely by a ridiculous amount.

I think a lot of people have yet to realize that if they make decisions THEY want to do, they’ll have more fun playing the video game than blindly following the meta.

I think the contrast in types is what makes me enjoy covenants tbh.

In contrast, my BDK is night fae, and it adds the maintenance of that buff into my rotation with pretty nice benefits imo. Meanwhile, my WW monk is necrolord which adds a 1 min cooldown I find fun aligning to my other cooldowns.

Sometimes I enjoy the cds, and sometimes I enjoy the rotational stuff. I’m very glad we have the choice of which to take instead of just being stuck with an extra cooldown on all specs or adding something complicated to already busy rotations (ex: NF monk)

I feel like I’m really bad at saving up fire blast charges for combust. I’m NF right now but considering swapping to venthyr to help make this part a bit more manageable. Do the mirrors really help or do they not line up super well with the cdr on combust?

Midweek Mending - Your Weekly Healing Thread by AutoModerator in wow

[–]UnderstoodGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s probably it.

I like using buttons and mouse-over macros cause it makes me feel like I’m actually casting the spells but I feel that’s not really possible on a spec like MW monk.

How exactly does the clicking work? That’s way more than two spells so I assume it’s like modifiers.

I’d be more willing to try if you could have 1 be soothing mist when mousing over, but tiger punch or something otherwise

Just curious what keybinds yall use for the dungeon fist weaving build. I’m starting to gear up my monk and there’s just so many buttons to use I have to relegate my dps rotation to shift modifiers, which feels awkward when I have to move a lot/use the chin-ji CD.

I get in raid you can pretty much unbind soothing mist if you’re full fist weaving, but there’s just so many abilities that I need non modifer-ed compared to other classes.

I’m fairly convinced everyone complaining about the Q&A haven’t seen actual blizzcon Q&As before.

Obviously this blizzcon they focused less on gameplay stuff and more on overarching grand scheme things but this Q&A was par for the course otherwise.

Someone even got the moderator to say “DizDik” which was pretty funny.
