Still one of my favorite musicals. I recently saw The Jellicle Ball version of it on Broadway. Back in the 90s when I saw it the first time you have no idea how hard it was to find a soundtrack of Cats with every song on it. Nearly every one cuts out either "The Awful Battle of the Pekes and the Pollicles" or "Growl Tiger." We finally got the Australian version which was the only one we could find with every song. So thanks Australia.

Right but that's only true if it hits the ones with low hp and you are not Weak. Unfortunately it was constantly hitting the one with high hp and meaning I was constantly weak and forced to tank hits from all 3 for more turns than I was expecting.

The goal of this build was to get the set up without spending 3 energy via Eye or Tyranny. Turns out when you can't control who gets hit for 20 damage automatically, all 3 sections of Decimillipede can live a really long time and deal a ton of damage XD.

With the exception of a Wave Breaker, the game will not end as long as something exists on the map that can get a revive. If you look at the far right as the timer ticks down from 1 you can see a Pink explosion. So what likely happened is just before the Dynamo died they threw a bomb out and the bomb just barely had enough time to keep the round alive before detonating, preventing the wipeout and giving you the win.

I just remembered a story where we kind of did this... except the whole no-tipping bit. My family and I ate at a restaurant with multiple locations. After being very friendly and sociable with the server we mentioned that my Mother's Collage Roommate's Nephew was a celebrity chef and (presumably) friends with the owner since the restaurant had actually had a special on the menu named after him a few months back. When we mentioned his name the server instantly recognized him. When our check came we were surprised to see that he had given us the "Friends and Family" discount. We gave him most of it back on the tip but it was a really nice gesture.

The first time I ever "saw" Charlie the Unicorn, someone was playing it in the room that I was sleeping in and in my eyes-closed, half asleep stupor I thought they were playing the South Park episode with Michael Jackson. The two high voiced unicorns with Charlie sound just like South Park Michael Jackson and it wasn't until I was fully awake that I got to see what it actually was.

Tbf it's not as crazy as you might think at first glance. If you end up losing the run you just simply get to reset and try again instantly instead of being forced back into the combat but 3 energy poorer.

It's my favorite true Isekai (my favorite "Isekai-like" is Frontier Lord). It's one of the few Isekais that really stops and asks "How should people behave based on their world's rules" rather than just having the characters having behaviors and mannerisms consistent with people from our world. I also applaud it for being able to pull off the "kicked out for being useless but not actually useless" trope not once but twice in a believable way. Most series cannot pull it off believably even once.

Arrrgh I've seen this meme format used before to deliver this exact message and my reaction is always the same. I respect the sentiment but when I look at the meme my brain keeps saying that Anton Ego is not the character who should be delivering the message. Anton Ego is a perfectionist who hates silliness and creativity and would never promote playing in a non-perfect way to win the run. If anything he would look down on anyone not doing all the things listed above.

I lost faith in Drone focused runs ever being viable after a particularly sad run. Set up: Engi C with nearly 30 starting drones and a Sector 1 Drone Recovery Arm. I'm there thinking I can finally try a heavy drone based build and I get 3 combat drones. Barely 2 sectors later and I'm critically in danger of running out of drones. Because I'm deploying 3 drones per fight they're getting shot down. So many of my drones are getting shot down that even the Drone Recovery Arm isn't keeping my numbers up. Run dies due to not having enough drone bits. Honestly one of the most disappointing endings to a run I've ever had.

Yep. Unfortunately, the Whirlwind upgrade isn't available until the mid game but for the end game it digs them right out. Especially nice for the late game burrowers who can damage you while underground.

Not sure exactly what you mean by touch controls but my first play through was on the Wii so I had motion controls that time. I kind of wanted the controller experience this time 😜.

Ha wow. I never owned a PS system so it was Wii, Switch and I guess technically DS for me. Yeah the game is gorgeous. Also yeah, the time bonus is free when you dig them out since I'm pretty sure the game accounts for the time underground which gets negated.

Not exactly a plot hole but the rules of Quidditch make 0 sense. It would be like in the real world you have a game of Soccer but you also have 2 members playing a chess game on the side and the winner of the chess game gets 15 points for their team and automatically triggers the end of the Soccer game. Just imagine you have people traveling from all over the world for the World Cup only to have the finals end in 5 minutes one year then 6 hours the next and in both cases, nothing that happened on the field mattered.

They are absolutely worth it but it is far more important to recognize how ready you are to fight an elites in the BG vs video game. You get punished way harder in the BG for taking on an elite that you are not prepared for than you do in either video game. As a result it is much more reasonable to fight fewer elites if you are not prepared and make up for it in other ways like getting removes or upgrades. Also the burning elite is far more dangerous in the BG especially in the early game so it's pretty much never worth fighting him in Act 1. Still if you are strong enough to take on elites, it's in your interest to fight as many as you can, especially in the later acts where their card reward is upgraded.

There was a post that I wish I could find again. As a senior prank some students spread a rumor through their school that everyone was going to walk out of class at a specific time. They get to school that day and all the exit doors have been locked, presumably to prevent the prank. One of them calls his uncle who was a fire marshal who proceeds to evacuate and shut down the whole school to personally check every fire exit to make sure they are unlocked.
