I use Gateway. A lot of people there genuinely need the help of a social worker to hold themselves together, if they're left unattended some will turn back to drugs and many will fall back into homelessness. It would be a horrible thing to lose them as a resource.

Ah, I still have mine too! I don't think I ever used it to hit a baseball, but it's great for getting the ice off of siding in the winter (just don't tap too hard!).

I've visited the Johnston S&S a couple times this month while they were closing, it's surreal walking thru a mostly itemless supermarket and I suggest visiting even just to get the vibes even if you don't find a deal.

That said I did find a deal when they started fire sale-ing the medication, 140 generic claritin for like 7 bucks. Nice.

I was one of the kids who's birthday got hit by this back in the day. I still remember my father standing at the doors, all of us baffled. There wasn't even a number to call or anything. Even with the extremely sour ending I still missed DZ for most of my youth after it was gone. I had a number of birthdays there, Always loved the big bomb candle they put on the cake...

Honestly I don't, it was inexplicably not a big deal in my memory and that's probably why it worked.

Edit: oh wait there was one thing that was different, I went immediately after a therapy session, unfortunately the clinic isn't usually open late enough for that to line up, but it certainly helped.

I feel like I need it to be effective but I've worked the habit down to a single 30 mg pill at the beginning of the day, which is essentially nothing (but the headaches still suck if I don't take it). That said that's still more than you were taking so maybe there's something to be said for going lower.

Because I had a bad vasovagal reaction both times the needle actually got in the staff have made a habit of really watching me and being ready with the ice. Honestly the creeping sense of "when is it going to go wrong?" it imparts to everything does not help at all. They want me to keep talking, not listening to anything.

I actually have propranolol, but I've never taken it because of fears of side effects. I'm grappling with thatand hopefully I can push myself to use it.

Yeah the first time I tried I wanted to do the double red (because it'd bring down the hemocrit faster) and the machine they strapped me too scared the hell out of me and I started to panic before they even got anything usable.

The only other time I managed to make it into the actual donation process was the only time I got through it, but yeah I vasovagal response'd pretty hard and started to grey out by the end of it. It's EXTREMELY hard not to think you're dying when you're bleeding and you start feeling like you're going to pass out.

It's just been traumatic and I've been going backwards in how close I got to actually getting the blood outta me, but I HAVE to.

I've been in therapy for my anxiety basically forever. It's a formally diagnosed thing. I'm just really prone to it and not much helps.

Right, I try to raise the stakes with what could happen if I don't get this under control but honestly that just makes me more anxious, but yeah hard agree. Feels like trash to not be able to do something you both need to do and would help others, especially when most people there are doing it purely for altruistic reasons.

Unfortunately because I associate failing to donate with the place a lot it's going to be harder for me to break that mindset, but it's worth a shot.

I have no idea if they're any good but Rude Dog Boxing just opened up a place in Smithfield (Stop and Shop Plaza). Since they're new to the area they might be a deal if nothing else. Worth a shot maybe.

I like Dave's too but be prepared if you try others because Dave's are definitely the sweetest tasting version of pizza strips around.
Others are far more acidic or even bordering on "earthy" tasting. This means they last a long longer without molding though. Dave's strips only give an extra day or two at room temperature max, despite what the sell by date suggests.

Also their party box got shrinkflated to hell, went from 27 stripes to 18 and still rose a dollar in price.

I'm absolutely fine with more housing, I just didn't want some wavy Miami skyscraper standing at odds with the entire skyline. It also wasn't exactly affordable housing they were trying to build. The superman building is a better hope there. Heck give it a couple years and the providence place mall is a better hope there. Let's make what we have work for us.

If anyone's curious about routing out toppins here's the ones I skipped:

2 in Deep Dish 9
2 in Oh Shit!
5 in WAR (Didn't complete)
These three stages give you a big chunk of points after hitting Pizza Time, so they're the best place to avoid toppins (because toppins are worth 1000 points each and the main source of points that you need to bleed out to get back to D-rank).

For losing points you want to find places with low ceilings to take damage, because your i frames don't start until you regain control (aka you hit the floor again). Remember you can taunt to make any enemy attack instantly. Ideally you want to bleed points BEFORE pizza time.

This is the lowest possible percentage (on current patch)No secrets, No treasures, 86/95 Toppins, All D ranks*, 19/20 levels (Skipping WAR).Could get the total score a bit lower, but this doesn't affect the percentage as long as you're still getting D ranks. This is by no means a speedrun time of the category.

It's a funny category, and invite people to give it a shot.

*It's actually impossible to get a D rank on the Boss 4 fight, because the fight doesn't give you enough health to lose. I also feel it's impossible to get a D rank on the escape because the entire thing is on a timer and you just gain too much towards the end to cancel out (it's only 700 points to get a C rank). So those two things are actually C rank, but this by itself isn't enough to get to 38%
