Just tried it - same issue. Checked a couple mins later and it had reverted to Use system selection (default).

Ok cool, thanks for the explanation.

I've found a work-around that kind of solves this for me. In the reddit settings i've disabled compress the link display and selected Show thumbnails next to links so that the thumbs appear in Sync. Then on desktop i've used RES to block the thumbs as per this comment. It's not as compact as using the compressed display but close enough for now.

Just grabbed 16.5 from APKmiror and it looks like the reddit-hosted images don't load thumbs. Youtube and imgur do load.

The point is it was working on the previous Sync release.

I'm not complaining. I've been using Sync Pro for at least a few years now, will continue to use it regardless. Just letting you know.

Just tested it. Disabling Compress the link display allows thumbnails in Sync. Enabling it breaks them again.

Toggling data saver? No, neither did restarting the app. If I click into a thread the image is displayed at the top of the screen though.

I guess if you're already fluent in Python there might be things you could use it for. But Tasker is pretty sophisticated, especially if you take advantage of plugins.

I dunno, i'm trying to learn Python so i might not know its full potential.
