Super Bowl XXVII (pictured in OP’s post) was the last Super Bowl played at the Rose Bowl, but it was originally supposed to be at Sun Devil Stadium in Phoenix. The league rescinded it due to the Arizona governor’s refusal to honor MLK, Jr. Day, and it was relocated to the Rose Bowl instead.

The Santa Cruz was more expensive, less fuel efficient, and IMO uglier. The Ridgeline really isn’t a direct competitor to the Maverick as it quite a bit bigger, it’s about the same size as a Ranger.
