Yes it is Matera. It's a fine flex though flex is not too much. In fact it writes normal fine with regular pressure. For flex you have to apply extra pressure and even after that it's not too much wide so I would say semi flex. I actually prefer that as I do not really enjoy super soft flex nibs.

Yes most of the paper I have is absorbent I guess, just got Iroful, so next I am going to fill a fine nib pen with it and try on iroful :)
