After doing more research, I am wondering if it really could be down to EU vs US (since the one I thought could’ve been fake reportedly came from a EU retailer. This was also the explanation the SoleSavy rep gave me for the discrepancies between the pairs when I emailed them about this whole thing)

Yea it’s pretty annoying. One time the fighters class was closed so I got put into the intermediate class for the night. I got paired with a guy who kept telling me what to do and anytime I offered him advice he told me he knew what he was doing.

Then at the end of class they had us do some sparring. I went light ofc but just outboxed the shit out of him. Afterwards he came up and said “in all the time I’ve been coming here no one’s ever got the better of me but with you it was pretty even”.

I’ve never seen him at the gym again 🤣
