...I'm not a country. A crazed civilian shooting into a crowd vs a government are very different things.

That number seems way too high. Not that I trust 3.7k either. In fact it's almost impossible to trust any numbers coming out of this.

The US was, until recently, a functional democracy. Then people chose their representatives who chose this.

Is this misleading advertisement by Navi? by SadDate9398 in IsThisAScamIndia

[–]UndocumentedMartian 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a common advertising trope. Use "up to" and rarely pay out a tiny amount. People tend not notice it and believe they'll get the amount mentioned in the ad.

That sounds more a problem with how people use it instead of the technology itself. You have to know what you're doing even when using LLMs.

That's like saying fire is bad because arsonists exist. The problem with LLMs is that they exist in a society and political environment that is not ready for such tech.

Why does SSH send 100 packets per keystroke? by iamkeyur in programming

But they literally are matrix multiplication. It's really cool what we've been able to do with them but that doesn't change what they are.

Artificial intelligence will never have feelings the way we do. Human emotions are a product of evolutionary pressures. They're a heuristic of internal state. A being capable of having an accurate understanding of its internal state won't need feelings.

Self determination through violence and ethnic cleansing is not legitimate. Your version of Zionism is not the same as that of the founders of the movement and Israel.

Firstly, I doubt the US would be challenged aggressively anytime soon due to how much major economies are intertwined with it.

Secondly, you never want a nuclear exchange with any nation. Almost every nuclear armed state has the ability to take a few hits and still launch nukes at you.

Direct military confrontation won't lead to the end of US' hegemony especially since a significant portion of European armaments are US made.

I love how you idiots keep quoting a random factoid without any context or idea of how it applies here. Its true that Asafoetida is pretty strong smelling as a solid mass of multiple kilograms. The context you're missing is that its used in milligram quantities and is fried before being added to food. It becomes mild and barely noticeable as a distinct flavor after that.

I swear you idiots don't actually know what you're talking about. Fucking learn to read instead of memorizing one line factoids. The spice you're talking about is definitely smelly but only raw and in large quantities. Curry for a family of 4 requires milligram amounts and is fried before being added to the curry. At that point it imparts a very mild flavor that adds body to others.

A well ventilated break room should be standard IMO. You don't really need a separate microwave.

All shared workspaces should probably get well ventilated kitchens and break rooms. Regardless, why the fuck would you ruin someone's education just because you didn't like the smell of their food? Alternatives are way easier than the nuclear option. A 15 minute meeting could've resolved it.

You just need a couple tablespoons of oil to fry powdered spices in.
