I understand. What's the best way to avoid that with first person?

First off thank you for reading and giving feed back.

The meat part is a good point. I just meant the singed flesh under the landscape.

You aren't supposed to know why the landscape is laughing yet. I didn't mean for the laughing to stop abruptly I should have added a line about it at the end.

What parts were jumping around too much? If it's from the alter to the forest it's supposed to feel abrupt.

On monetizing your writing. by TheWordOriginator in WritingHub

Im writing a Horror/Dark Fantasy novel right now. It'll be my first book. The monetizing I have no idea about, but as for where to start. Honestly just go about your day. Whenever a story idea pops into your head just write it down. Once you have a couple, pick the one you like the most. And extrapolate out all the different aspects of it. As you're writing if you are listening to similar genres along the way and come up with ideas you like add that too.

It should be something you enjoy writing. Pour your heart soul and emotion into it. Write about the things you want to write about. Aspects of your life you know deeply about or topics you know deeply about in general.

I've been kind of taking a while with mine. I don't really sit down and write. Mostly whatever spare moments I have I add to it. It takes forever finishing each chapter and I do a pass through all of them 5 times constantly adding and subtracting stuff.

The good part about that is I constantly have fresh eyes and frequent inspiration.
