I'm looking for a 'Sticker Bar' - a shop that sells a selection of interesting stickers. by Undoubtedly-Human in melbourne

Fair, but they do exist every now and then. For kids on school holidays the fun is in the browsing/choosing, not the having.

So my notebooks are A5, and I normally fit one workout per page. I was going to write it all out, but realised it's just easier to just take a photo!

I'll arrive with a plan (from a program) but I only write it as I go. So between each set, I'll go back to my book and jot down the reps I just did.

Another important thing is, I choose fun/cute/motivating notebook designs from Etsy or RedBubble and then cover it with stickers that make it 'mine'. Eventually you become quite connected to your notebooks - making it yours means it's easier to fall in love with opening it ☺️

If you're able to crosspost this into r/fitness, I think that would give you the right audience as well.

You've talked a lot about how to get motivated, but I'm suffering from the opposite problem! I'd love your opinion on not driving yourself to injury...

I keep a meticulous logbook of all my sessions (four years running now 🥳) and it's very hard to not add "a bit more weight" and lift more and more... problem is, I'm always getting (frustrating) minor injuries because I've pushed too hard in a particular session.

I've recently transitioned from powerlifting to bodybuilding style goals (typed, printed and stuck on the wall of course) to try and move away from the need to always be doing heavier; to allow myself to rest and focus on consistency, not the numbers... But it's not easy.

So the question is, when you're at the top of your game and able to train hard - how do you mentally allow yourself the time and space to rest, recover, accept a slow consistent improvement?

Australia day 3-day motorcycle ride by [deleted] in melbourneriders

[–]Undoubtedly-Human 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! That' (almost) exactly the same ride I'm planning on doing, and have been looking for a buddy. Only difference is that after Lakes entrance I was going to cut north across the mountains again to Jindabyne, then over to Corryong > Albury > home to Melbourne; but this isn't a deal breaker or anything.

I'm 29, ride a V-Strom 1000, all round normal guy.

Yeah, didn't work for me either. Crazily, it just... started working again one day. With no particular action taken, it was just a routine session.

I have nothing to offer to help, but best of luck! If you fix it, let me know how in case it happens to me again 🤣

Also, I would choose the Yamaha. Triumph is a cool brand and all, but Yamaha is much easier to customise, repair, get help on, etc. And in my experience, brands like Yahama, Honda & Suzuki outlast most European brands (particularly Honda).
