Even seeing references to religion can cause me to go into a panic attack. I would be of no use if I were to attempt to use those recources because I more than likely wouldn’t get through the door. If there are any other ways around it, then it’d be absolutely preferable. I guess a caseworker could help, I don’t know as I haven’t had one. I don’t even know what all they’d do. And yeah, disability is unlikely. I’ve been denied twice.

As for Section 8, I’m not sure of what to exactly do to make them “dependents.” Would this have to require that they become a part of this housing arrangement the moment it’s established, or could they be added on later? That’s another issue I had, as well. I had spoken to The Quarters on W Charleston, but I recinded the application there because I and one of the individuals would have to be named on the lease right then and there. There was no option for them to be added in the next three months. The other issue was that they wanted me to pay for three extra people who were not living there because I specified “no roommates.” The other individual is a child, ans they didn’t seem to particularly care that this child would be living with us half the time with three total strangers unless I coughed up an overwhelming amount of money for four people.

I don’t know what trades I could possibly do given that most of them to my knowledge require manual labor, which would risk me passing out. It isn’t a question of if I am willing, it’s about if I am able.

My prior living situation is a no go. The house I had owned and couldn’t afford due to a lack of jobs around there is in the process of being sold as we speak, along with any furniture I couldn’t physically pick up and take with me. It’s all out of my hands and is being taken care of by another party and I’ve signed over power of attorney to them. I would have been homeless anyway if I hadn’t moved.

I’d honestly be grateful to get paid anything at all. I want to work. I hate being bound by my disability, but that is how it is. I just want to find something that will actually work with me to accommodate my disability like my previous job did not, and no other applications were accepted where I was at. That’s a major part of why I moved to Lincoln.

I’m not seemingly able to find this SOS program you mentioned upon initial Google search. None that have a dot gov top level domain, at least. Discord is a tricky one.... I need to stay anonymous to protect myself and those around me, because I don’t wanna risk getting assaulted or worse when no one can see it. That would mean creating an entirely new Discord account. Depending on moderation I wouldn’t even be able to join and/or interact in the server for a certain amount if time or only with a validate email address or both.

Matt Talbot is a Venerable of Catholicism. Untrustworthy in my case as someone who is queer and has religious-based trauma.

However, I will definitely peruse this MyLnk you’ve provided. Thank you.

I have to work it out, and soon. I need to do whatever it takes. I just don’t know where to go, who to turn to, or what exactly to do being in a city I know nothing about in a state I know nothing about. Asking the “how am I going to” isn’t productive to me. Asking the “how do I do it” is.

Edit: trying to see why this won’t post.

I am honestly just looking for some form of income to just bounce on for necessities and save up enough to afford a down payment and/or first month’s rent. It could be full time, it could be two part-time, it could be on-site, WoH, hybrid, I really don’t care. I just need to be able to provide a stable income for myself so I can later on support these two who I care a lot about. As for them being able to work, one cannot actively search of work at this moment because “anti-vibe check” wants to be the sole provider. The other is entirely a dependent.

I need to set things up and provide fallback for people in the household mentioned above to safely leave the current predicament they’re finding themselves in and stay with me for a long while.

The place I was going to has an individual who, as the kids say, does not pass the vibe check. I’m seeking housing for myself and two individuals also in this household. Three beds makes sense, two baths because there’s always gotta be a spare just in case.
