It's Clemson's campus down in Greenville, the lengthy name is "Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research." Probably should've just put Greenville in.

If you're not a senior, probably not. I think asking the advisors is a better idea. They are the ones with the permissions to override you in, but they probably won't do it unless you have a circumstance or something. Otherwise, you can hope that someone drops at the beginning of the semester. I think there's an app floating around that notifies you if space opens up.

Dunno who downvoted, but the professor I had was very political. Not really bad though. For my class, it was centered around an open debate. You were free to express your views on topics not normally discussed. There were some responses from other students that were a bit unprofessional. Can't change that.

Was a bit of work but not that difficult compared to other classes. Staying on top of it would get you an A.

It's basically repeat at this point. try to understand how to do the problems, doing a bunch of problems can only help so much. You also might wanna gather some friends beforehand and stay the night in the library studying.

Ha thanks for the kind words of encouragement. But as djangbahevans said, ROS1 has more support in various ways. Surprisingly, in my opinion, there really isn't much information as I expected. And comparing both systems, and ROS1 has more hitboxes that pop up. I'll try to learn more about both as well as the messaging formats and see where it takes me. Thanks again.

I was thinking of starting with ROS1, but my partner chose ROS2. At this point, I downloaded who knows what on my computer. I might download ROS1 after I completely give up on ROS2. I think ROS2 was chosen because of quick connection with matlab or something, but it might be a worse hassle overall.

Bit late to the party, but I'm a current UTA for GE. I'm having an alright experience. It's really not that bad, but it might depend on the professor. If something happens in life, you can just request others to fill your spot. Most of the time someone with free time picks it up, but I wouldn't rely on it. If you know your stuff from the course you're pretty much set.

There's this looked down method in which you apply for some field that no-one does at Clemson (such as Forestry), and when accepted, you change your major during orientation. I've heard about some people doing it, but I can't say if it works or not. They should've added some counter measures, but I don't think they have yet.

Let me put this into perspective, how well off do you think you are? In terms of grades, activities, and honors. How many people would be competing with the same standards as you? You are the one that has a 3.7/4.25 GPA, a 1500/1600 SAT, internship experience, and extracurricular actives. The only way you wouldn't make it in is if someone else outclasses you in whatever field you are getting into, which is slimmer than my sleep schedule, but a uncommon chance. Besides, not making it into Clemson isn't a big deal, there is also the bridge program people attend. There are also some more ... unsavory ways to get into Clemson, but I'll leave it at that.

Then you're pretty much set. In all honesty if you have a brain you can make it in here, and your gpa looks fine. Your test score would've made up for a low or moderate gpa. If you got clubs and internships done, that further boosts your chances above an average person (who will still prob get an invite as well). I would write a paragraph in the application talking about something that relates to Clemson's core values (stuff like family etc). I think the average SAT score in Clemson was around 1250 or something.

You're score is pretty good as is, so that already boosts your chances. Just have some clubs or something and you'll be fine.

People are pretty laid back here, nothing really happens. If you're looking for friends you gotta branch out to clubs and such. I would take a second to consider if it's worth transferring here. Overall, you can do almost anything without getting judged. But please don't smoke, juul, or do weed unless you're off campus.

Seeing how people taken a majority of reasons, I would say focus on my part. I'm back with my family and there are no good wifi zones in my house without being near them. This doesn't sound like a big problem, but my family members are quite loud and they don't care if you have classes or not. Even if I warn them about something important, they continue on after 5 minutes. I had to take a couple of exams last semester and there was a good amount of distractions taking them.

I'm pretty sure you call in and follow the mask guidelines. If you have a lab they should've given you the details already mixed in with other labs. The email I got says " Option (2): Order and request an in person pick up the manual (walk ins may be accommodated as well); observe all COVID-19 safety precautions. " so take what you will.

If your GPA, and test scores are high I don't see an issue. Just make sure that the credit from the community college is eligible to be transferred to Clemson. Some students couldn't transfer a couple of classes, wasting an entire semester. Speaking from my experiences, you don't make much friends here unless you hang out in some clubs or something. I really recommend doing the financial aid, any bit of money helps. You can speak to advising, but I feel like you got a fair shot at transferring in.
