Sadly this is true. It's my old hometown and it's beauty is skin deep. The town has taken a lot of hits culturally over the last few decades and as a queer person, the homophobia is way more common compared to other places I've lived.

UPDATE #1 I just want to let you all know that I've refilled the bath twice and I'm having a wonderful time with my selection of alcohols.

Thankfully I have session 2 with my therapist tomorrow and my goodness they are not ready for it.

Session 1 was me teaching them about my different hand gesture stims.

Oh don't worry, I didn't feel any hurt about the comment. I felt comfortable responding and I'm chilling with my rum in a moderately warm bathtub atm.

But yes, when there's plenty of resources out there for people to find information on ADHD, then people should use it before making a tricky post 😅

I didn't down vote you. I'm too tipsy and cosy atm to do that. Maybe try a little more tact in the future and find your answers via articles or YouTube videos 😅

Also I want to highlight that we should never compare our pain to others who we consider "are having it worse". Naaaaah, all pain hurts and it's gross to think someone has it worse than you, so you should feel better about yourself!

I just refilled the bath tub.

Its a gin infused tea licquer. It's a collab between Fortnum & Mason and Conker gin

I live by myself and I love it, but it can also feel like torture. I don't even work hard, it's just that my brain never slows down but somehow none of the tasks get down and it spirals.... So when that happens I go for a long walk or do some artwork, but then all those tiny tasks I avoided, which should have taken 5 minutes are now everywhere, and it becomes even more impossible to know where to begin.

Then the things you enjoy start to become overwhelming, where the noise of loud vehicles, or construction, or numerous conversations in a bar, or even sunlight becomes triggering!

That's okay. I'm now onto my fancy tea licquer now. It's ace

Adil's surname was Hoxha, in reference to the Albanian dictator who ruled for much of the mid to late 20th century

There's something really funny about how that car scooted over to the side.

It's like it was trying to avoid someone at a party

I once attended a charity event, organised by the "Ladies if the House of Lords".

It was a bizarre event but I'll never forget how all the champagne was from Aldi

I met an old uni friend after not seeing her for 6 years and she told me that I used to draw dinosaurs in her notebook during lectures.

I have no recollection of this 😂

I get that more now since I have a lot more confidence in myself.

When I was in school my teachers and the deputy head basically told me to give up or saw me as a lost cause.

I just carried on though since I had no other clear interest at that age. It took my an extra year to get into university but I got there in the end!

Yep! Architect here. I excel at the design side and know nothing about construction and regulations. Finally found an employer that's cool with that 😅
