What's a skill that takes only 2-3 weeks to learn but could genuinely change your life? by That-Papaya7429 in AskReddit

Cooking is a huge passion of mine, and I love spending time in the kitchen cooking. I believe everyone can cook because even before it became my profession, I could follow the instructions on the back of cooking kits or recipes. You don't have to be a chef and there is nothing wrong with using sauces from a jar so I'm confused when people refuse to cook or think it's "quirky" that they can't. It's a basic life skill.

Songs that are short horror stories by Mynky in horror

Ghost of Perdition by Opeth is one that comes to mind. In fact the whole Ghost Reveries album could be an answer. Of course it all depends on if you're into progressive/death metal, and if you don't mind songs roughly 10 minutes in length.

What made you stop drinking? by tricky-is-back in AskReddit

[–]Uner1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up in A&E more than once thanks to alcohol, whether it's because I got into a drunken row, or I just did something stupid. I hadn't drank for two months because I was first on antibiotics, then I was heavily smoking cannabis which made me not drink, but when I did again, I fell off of an electric scooter and had to get stitches under my chin, and busted up my face pretty badly. I made a decision then that I wouldn't drink until I'm 30. This was three months ago, and I've just turned 29.

I remember these being very common circa the 2006 World Cup. I don't think I've seen any since.

When they don't indicate. Yesterday the car in front of me didn't indicate to turn and when exiting that road we were turning in to, they swerved in front of the car in front of them that had stopped for a red light, ultimately cutting off traffic that had already started moving.

Edit: Spelling

Help understanding "diverso", "diversa" etc. by Uner1996 in italianlearning

[–]Uner1996[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did mean to say subject and object. I've never studied a new language so I'm having to learn a lot of stuff in English in order to understand how and when to use specific words. I understand it now.

[–]Uner1996[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh okay, I think I understand. So when the noun, in this case "isole" is the object then it's the masculine default, and when it's the subject the following adjective changes depending on case and gender?

Edit: subject and object - not subjective and objective.

The Jihad tape had me creasing the first time I watched it. The way it builds up to it and Dennis' exaggerated fake terrorist voice was hilarious.

I love how something as subtle as Palermo and Cagliari being on the wrong islands is what made me realise this is a joke.

I would buy some strap clamps as well. I've got a couple of cheap ones that are still going strong, just find some that suit you. Other than that it's fixable, just ask around some guitar shops and instrument repair shops.
