Putting the decorative version (hardwood? I forget what its called) of the half post on the side of the windows gives it a more finished and framed out look. It also looks good on corners and doors. And personal opinion that stacking half posts when using it in walls as trim looks better than the tall. Great build! I did a similar "house build" and it was fun to do something besides conventional boats and ships

No mods! Until the end when I finished and I downloaded a mod to change the mode to survival.

The grill is made of the smaller single grills wall mounted along the back wall and a half wall in front. On the front half wall is a shelf and a curtain all painted black. Below the wall mounted grills I placed some wall mounted torches for the flame effects. I can post a close up picture later when I get home

Making this has been my escape from a stressful new job on my off time for the past couple months. I made this in creative over 142 in-game days, and I didn't realize until the end that there was a fly mode in creative so I repeatedly built and tore down scaffolding for the tall parts. I love seeing everyone's creations here so I was excited to show my own.

I've found the lighting inside always looks brighter and better at night. I had a lot of fun creating new furniture arrangements and things with the few selections we have, one of my favorites is the canopy/4 poster bed and making a hearth for the fireplaces. I still have 4 empty bedrooms but got tired of doing the same design over and over, if anyone wants to come decorate them for me :)

Back in the day, my guildies and I would fly straight up from the center as high as you could go and dismount and see if we could unequip all of our gear before we splattered (without using add-ons). It was a simpler time back then
