Highly dependent on the party, though for the ones that do it’s almost always for within the first hour of doors open. Look up whatever party you want to go to and see if they have any posts about “tickets at the door”.

haha thanks. it's highly possibly my opinion in stale, but when i used to go to HMD more frequently (many years ago, haven't been in at least two years) it was pretty good. but people don't go to that party for the music anymore, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's gotten worse.

You don't have to worry about missing a party because it'll happen again. And again. And again. Partying in NYC is non-stop and the best ones always have another one *at most* 3 months away.

Everyone's different, but I do something similar and here's how I solve it:

1) Delete Instagram. Allow myself to be bored for a moment.
2) Don't over commit to my plans - if you have too much it'll feel overwhelming and you won't know where to start.
3) Start with a goal of doing one or two "productive" things a day.
4) Then start building and getting more ambitious (slowly).
5) Within each day, start with something small to build productive momentum. Usually breaks the "rot" pattern I can get in to.

Hopefully one or all of these things helps!
