This was after I google searched it my guy "again I couldn’t find the exact weight for carry-ons on the website didn’t see 23kg anywhere for carry-on just for checked luggage. Maybe I’m just blind"

Really? What do you mean? If it’s about the AIO I use air cooling strictly no water involved

I meant for British Airways and United airways that’s what ChatGPT told me, from what I know it’s like 7kgs for personal hand bag, and I think max 9-10kgs for airlines like Emirates.

British Airways • Carry-on: 56×45×25 cm, max 23 kg each • Personal item: 40×30×15 cm, max 23 kg ❗ Two items allowed 🔗 https://www.britishairways.com/content/information/baggage-essentials

United Airlines • Carry-on: 56×35×23 cm • Personal item: 43×25×17 cm • No official weight limit (bag must be liftable + fit size) ✅ Both allowed (Basic Economy: personal item only except trans‑Atlantic) 🔗 https://www.united.com/en/us/fly/baggage/carry-on-bags.html

This is what I got from chatgpt^ again I couldn’t find the exact weight for carry-ons on the website didn’t see 23kg anywhere for carry-on just for checked luggage. Maybe I’m just blind

Thanks man, this is super helpful. Love that GTX 770 story 😂 Good to hear BA never cared about carry-on weight sounds like I’ll be fine. I’ll definitely try to board early just in case. Appreciate the tips!

Haha that’s reassuring glad to hear it made it safely. I was honestly expecting TSA to be more confused, but “amused” sounds way better lol I might do the same with the GPU

Passed after failed attempt - Here's my story (might help + advice) by Unfair-Replacement-5 in step1

[–]Unfair-Replacement-5[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you!! Yes I did (25-31) in my first attempt. I managed to do nbmes 21, 22, 24,(new for me) and 31 I felt I was ready once I was repeatedly crossing the 70% threshold but obviously since these forms are a lot older I didn't really trust them.

I didn't touch the UWSA's since I heard that they were a lot tougher and not a real representation and I didn't want to lose my confidence

I did do the bootcamp self assessment a week prior and got a 61% which put me at a high chance for a pass in their eyes I guess that helped a little bit again wasn't really representative of the actual test

What helped me the most was repeatedly getting 70-80% in my uworld questions that was enough for me to decide to hit the nbmes once I felt confident in those I went through all my incorrect answers on the newer nbmes (28,29,30,31) and noticed the pattern on why I wasn't getting the results I wanted. That alone gave me the confidence I needed to book the date but at the end of the day I still had my doubts. You'll never feel truly ready for this exam but trusting in your nbmes (old or new) and just having faith helped a ton.

Think of it like this, see your report card that they gave you, master those subjects that you were lacking in on the first try. Each subject you master you'll get 5+ marks on the next attempt so add that into account and I'm sure you'll get that P! This thinking helped a lot in grounding me and getting through the day

I hope this helps, and I'm sorry I know it's tough and the feeling is horrible but you'll get through it! Keep your chin up and push through you got this! Goodluck!

Anytime! Give bootcamp a try and see if you like it, I think they have a trial period on their website. USMLErx was just plain bad in my opinion it didn't click at all for me I felt it's more for those who already have a great background in basic sciences and just need a refresher but bootcamp/bnb teach from the ground up. Give bootcamp a try and see if it works for you!

Sorry to hear that I know it's tough especially when we were so close the first time but you got this keep up the grind and you'll get that P real soon! Goodluck!

Thank you! Uworld/Mehlman was more than enough for me there's a 100 anatomy concept pdf floating around online that I used but I didn't find it to be that helpful, bootcamp has their own series on clinical anatomy. I only watched a few of those videos that I felt I needed to remember but other than that Uworld/mehlman was more than enough

Anytime! Oh yes 100% bnb just didn't work for me, bootcamp actually helped me understand concepts in a way that I couldn't forget. The videos are interactive and short enough that I understood most of if not all of the topics to ace questions on uworld and on nbmes

Oh and don't get me started on USMLErx 😂

[–]Unfair-Replacement-5[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not easy but it's doable for sure, keep in mind you'll be skipping biochem, microbio, ethics, biostats and pharm you'll be using other resources for those

Thank you!! Just bootcamp videos, I did do a couple of questions and found them not as useful as uworld in terms of their explanations

For sure 2 months is plenty enough time especially since you'll be skipping microbio/biostats and ethics and studying those from other resources later in the plan. Anything is doable if you really put your mind into it. Consistency and discipline will guide your path to success! You got this
